3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2011

our room was at the rear of hotel overlooking what appeared to be a quiet street. but we were woken in the early hours of our first night by a lot of shouting by a gang of young men, we didnt complain just one of those things.second morning we were woken at 6 am by a delivery wagon .slamming its roller doors and dragging pallets. this we did mention at reception and was reimbursed for breakfast that morning. just got the impression i wasnt believed.anyway the room was clean and comfortable with a good shower.breakfast was fine. short walk to centre turn right out of hotel down the steps where there is a nice pub.then a nice walk along river to the centre.

Rooms were usual premier inn fare, clean and comfortable. All staff we came into contact with very friendly and helpful. Value for money not good - £83 for the two of us including breakfast which is a lot for a budget hotel.

2 mins from station, 5 from city centre and 15 from racecourse/ riverside on foot. We had a family room which was spacious. Pub opposite was a little noisy Saturday night. We had Breakfast which was good. service was OK but they haven't got the self service check in yet to speed it up. Only complaint is Premier inn prices are rising but still a budget hotel feel!

The hotel was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the hotel becasue we were attending a function and so we can't comment on the quality of the food, although the restaurant and bar area looked very pleasant. The hotel is perfectly situated i.e. a very short walk from the railway station and right on the edge of the central area of Chester. The riverside was only about 5 minutes away on foot.

I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of July. This was an excellent hotel. We were checked in, in less than 10mins, by very polite, friendly & professional staff. The rooms were very clean with extra pillows. The bathroom was also clean with extra towels. Overall the whole hotel came across as new & fresh. All staff were friendly & polite, I ate in the restaurant & had a drink at the bar. Would recommend this hotel

Visited for our anniversary clean comfy rooms, great breakfast close to city center & train station drink prices not to deadly.
only thing that marred it for us was check in they didn't take visa electron( explained from manger why but this should be reviewed as it method of payment) had to go get cash to pay then when returned with cash were not going to let us check in as had no ID manger came eventually who was lovely and after explaining what had happened & if we did not check in we were stranded she let us check inn and staff could not be more helpful after this will defiantly return.
