was staying just 1 night to visit Chester very close to train station and walking distance to city centre although the subway was dirty I would recommend going overground! on arrival trying to locate car park was hard had to park outside and go in and ask for directions, it is also £6 to p[ark overnight which I found excessive as never had to pay to park at a Premier Inn before! Check in was very slow as only 1 on reception and although 3pm a lot of the rooms were not ready.. Room was smaller than use to for that chain but was fine for 1 night and clean, bar area very tiny, went for breakfast at 10.30am as receptionist told us and wrote on our slip it was served till 11am to find it was on till 10.30 not 11 and was being packed away did get it but was rushed and the waiter constantly commented on how late we were.. not the stay we usually get at this chain but ok for 1 night..

I recently took advantage of the £19 per night offer to do some Christmas shopping in Chester. The staff were very helpful, stored our cases and shopping for us after we booked out of the room so we could wonder round Chester. The rooms were comfortable and the staff very friendly. Top service was given at Breakfast the staff were very busy topping up the breakfast buffet and making sure people had what was needed without asking but they still had time to be freindly and cheery. We took the £22 option for evening meal and breakfast and all the food served was excellent value. Thank you Premier Inn Chester, we will be back.

Stayed one night after christmas shopping. this hotel has 5* staff who seek to help. the rooms are functional and comfy. The food at breakfast was superb. The location is ideal as it is a 5 minute walk to the main shops.

As you can see we have recently stayed for two nights, bed and breakfast, at the Chester Premier Inn. This is our second visit, and well impressed. Very comfortable beds, and the room facilities compare very favourably with four star hotels. The reception staff handled everything extremely well and politely. Breakfast each morning was all you could want! Maureen & Norman, Newport

Room Tip: I am sure all rooms are of the same standard, you do not need to choose a room - all you do is sleep...

Recently went Christmas shopping in Chester and stayed overnight in the Premier Inn. Spotless rooms, friendly and helpful staff, great location. Car park too if you can get in. Would recommend it if you want to stay in Chester.

If it wasn't for the smelly bathroom I would have given 5 stars. the location is fantastic, the staff very friendly especially naomi on reception, and the hotel is clean.

We didn't eat there as the bathroom smell put us off wanting to eat on the premises and the staff did pretend that they knew nothing of the smell which I did believe until reading another review posted on here. The hotel was full so we couldn't move and the promised night refund didn't materialise but having said all that it wouldn't put me off staying in another premier inn as they are incredibly good value.

Shame this stay was tainted by room 321 Chester itself is delightful!

Room Tip: Avoid 321 the bathroom is very smelly
