5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 January 2014 via mobile

We stayed in this hotel with a party of 18, decent sized clean rooms with tea/coffee and as all premier inn hotels great value for the money £98 for a weekend stay and as it's a city centre hotel it's in a perfect location for shops bars & restaurants, the train station is a few minutes walk.

We like staying at Premier Inn because you know what to expect. A modern hotel, simply and cleanly furnished with everything you need and no extras. The Premier Inn Chester City Centre was just what we expected. A nice big room with aircon you can easily control yourself and just enough furniture and fittings for a few nights comfortable stay. The bathroom has a bath with shower over it, personally I prefer a walk-in shower but it was a good power shower and at least the curtain rail is curved so you don't have the curtain touching you whilst showering (yuck!). We were given a room in the quiet part of the hotel and it really was peaceful. Location is good, mid-way between railway station and city centre so its an easy walk in either direction for transport or shopping. We did not eat at the hotel but the small bar and restaurant "Thyme" looked very nice, we just didn't have enough time. There are plenty of places nearby to eat or have a drink all within walking distance. Staff at the hotel were welcoming and friendly. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again.

Room Tip: Premier Inn have recently introduced a quiet zone in the hotel so you can ask for a room there.

We booked this place for one night with friends. We spent the day in Chester shopping and this was a lovely clean and relaxing place to spend the night after a busy day. The room was spotless with a huge bed. Bathroom was excellent with a power shower. The restaurant offered a good choice of meals for those who wanted to eat in. Breakfast was great with a choice of continental or full cooked. The location was very handy for the shops and for a stroll along the canal which runs behind the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking is limited but we were lucky and got a space in the car park. It cost 6 pounds to park for 24 hours. We would define toy stay here if we come to visit Chester again.

We stayed on a Friday night in January. The hotel car park was full but the receptionist recommended the Railway Station car park which cost £5 for 24 hours and was only a 5 minute walk away. The town centre was 5 minutes walk in the other direction. The room was nice, exactly like any other Premier Inn room, clean and functional with an extremely comfy bed. The reception staff were lovely and the Full English breakfast the next day was delicious, better than some 4 stars I've stayed in. You get exactly as you would expect from this hotel and I would definitely stay here again.

Paid £29 for a Sunday night stay our first at a premier inn. It is such good value for money. All rooms are the same standard. You get a very comfortable king size bed with lovely white bedding and a choice of pillows. There are tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen tv, and air conditioning which is easy to operate. There was no unnecessary chintz in the room.
Bathroom was clean with a large shower cubicle. No horrid shower curtain.
Chose to have the all you can eat full breakfast which was good value at £8.25.It was good quality and sets you up for the day.
There is not enough parking for all here but the railway station always has spaces though its about a 7 min walk along the same road as the hotel.
Would definitely stay at a premier inn again for the comfort and value for money.

Soap dispenser not working.

Stayed here the other month for our anniversary, staff were friendly and polite. The room was spacious and definatly value for money, we werent left disappointed. We decided to stay here as our last stay in march was at travelodge and it was the worst place to stay ever! Anyway the breakfasts were great and we often enjoyed a drink in the bar!
