Nice and modern hotel close to the city center (~ 10 minutes of walk) and railway station (< 3 minutes of walk). Room was big enough and quite clear. In a room there was a kettle to boil water to make a coffee or tea. Price was quite reasonable. There was only one disadvantage of the hotel: very poor breakfast. There was possibility to eat only English sausages, eggs, bean and healthy cereals.

When we arrived we were greeted by a young lady who was very pleasant she sorted our booking very quickly and off we went to our rooms but when we got there we found no bed for one of our childern after a short while it was all sorted and complimentary drinks through in for the hassle evening meals are not supplied but your allowed to order from one of the local takeaways and eat it in the dining area the hotel supplied the plates and cutlery ....a great nights sleep and a perfectly acceptable breakfast the place was spotless I will certainly be back THANKS

Very handy location to visit Chester and also anywhere via train.
On site parking is restricted to 12 spaces & @ £6 a day not cheap....
We had 2 rooms for 3 nights Sun to Wed on 1st floor. Both nice and quiet and clean. Typical layout and do enough to cover the stay.
Bit of a delay getting into the rooms thanks to some of the previous guests (racing weekend) leaving rooms in a right state... Staff did a fantastic job getting them back up to standard :) Desk staff were great and allowed us to leave bags while we had a walk.
Food in restaurant is very good, as are the staff.
Breakfast is over priced for what it is. And Why they still persist in not having a buffet for hot food everyday is a joke. Only Monday, then went back to buffet, although did not seem any different in levels of people eating.
Yes I know you can order what you want as often as you want. But its not as easy as simply going back.
WiFi worked well @ £3 a day. But limited to 2 devices.. Not good when 3 of you have 2 devices each.
Overall a good stay was had by us.

One of the nicer Premier Inns I have stayed at. It was good to find that you checked in with a person instead of a machine and the girls at reception were nice. I had a room on the lower ground floor and it was compact but had a good, powerful shower. It's a shame they don't have irons in the rooms but you can get one from reception. The rooms don't have a safe or telephone either but do have tea/coffee facilities. They should really offer unlimited free internet too. Breakfast was ok, better than some budget hotels, but nothing special. I didn't eat at the hotel in the evening, the menu seemed a bit overpriced and there are so many other options within easy walking distance. The location is the hotel's best asset. A few minutes walk to the train station in one direction, a few minutes walk to the town centre in another. There is a canal nearby and some good restaurants and pubs, there is one across the road called The Cellar which was awarded Camra pub of the year for Chester. The hotel car park is reasonably priced at £6 a day if you can get a space.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights and chose to dine in the restaurant after long days out seeing the sights of Chester. We were very pleased overall and would highly recommend staying here. The service was top notch, the rooms were very comfortable and clean and the restaurant offered a good array of meals without being over complicated. Breakfast was also satisfactory and good value for money if you take the unlimited breakfast and evening dining offer in particular.
We would both very much enjoy staying here again and would absolutely recommend it to friends and family.

Excellent team of staff. Great breakfast, plenty of choice. Good location.
Car park very small so need to check in asap to get a space or use public car park, but this is common for city centre hotels.

Great premier inn clean and very helpful staff. Breakfast was very good with good hot and cold choice. Rooms usual premier inn with tea coffee, TV, shower gel etc and the room has great air con.We were there for the races and the price was increased considerably above the £29 quoted by other reviewers even though we booked in January. They know that they can near enough ask what they want when the races are on, as all the hotels are busy. Shame they don't stick to the prices charged at other premier inn's.
Very quiet at night as security staff are employed to remind guests who maybe a little rowdy, that other guests are sleeping.
Easy walk into town under the subway and then into the main shopping street. Also close to the river dee and roman ampitheatre. Railway station 500 yards walk. Would stay here again but maybe not at race time.
