“Modern yet Homely, great location!”
Reviewed 12 July 2013

My wife, daughter and I were looking for a couple of days in chester (zoo/blue planet), and as our little girl is only 3 we didn't really want a hotel room. This place was ideal for what we wanted, and more!

It's perfectly located; surrounded by shops, cafes and restaurants, even the car parking that they offer for a small charge is only about 50 meters from the entrance.

Once in the apartment it's very smart and really well done out, both bedrooms were good size and beds very comfortable. The sitting room was big enough and very homely yet modern in terms of decor, kitchen and TV/sound system etc...

Roslyn, the lady whom I spoke with when booking, was extremely helpful. Clear and intuitive instructions and in depth directions from the start and always replied to me promptly.

Because of her helpfulness, because of how nice the apartment was and because of its excellent location... I can't see why I would look anywhere else to stay in chester if/when we go there again!

Central for everything in Chester.
We were two couples and booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 4 nights.
Good communication with the owner [ Roslyn ]
Apartment was really lovely. Two nice bedrooms. Good sized bathroom.
Lovely lounge and kitchen.
Very clean and comfortable.
So good that we are going to repeat our booking next year.

Just returned from a weekend away with the family in Chester. We stayed in "The Rows" with 2 young sons aged 5 and 1 and we all all enjoyed the comfort and location of the apartment. Its right in the heart of the action yet the entrance is tucked away off the beaten track and there is no issue with late night noise. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds soo comfy! Despite no bath in the bathroom Roslyn was happy to supply us with baby bath and also highchair and cot so we found the accommodation child friendly too a bonus!

Would love to return if we come back to Chester.

It was a delight being able to look out of the windows to the shoppers and partyers below. This apartment was a really comfortable bolt hole, delightfully close to the hum of the town. Notwithstanding, it was possible to close yourself off to the crowd.

This appointment was very well appointed with all of the kitchen equipment we required.

The internet connection was patchy, but that was a minor inconvenience.

Just got back from a weekend in chester. stayed in the 2 bedroom Barlow apartment. Absolutely beautiful....great decor in every room. Everything included to make you feel you are home from home. Roslyn was so helpful from the start. apartment position is spot on, right in the middle of the action. so much better than an impersonal hotel room

BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE before booking here. Check the fine print. I am very disappointed with the correspondence from Roslyn. After the initial (quick) response to our enquiry in April for a December stay, then a deposit being taken from our credit card, we found we needed to cancel. We emailed Roslyn two weeks later to cancel (in May, SEVEN months in advance) and received no reply. We sent a further three emails (surely three emails cannot get lost in cyber-space????). And here we are on 20 August, with a reply stating that if we read the fine print, it is a non refundable deposit. It is very disappointing. I can understand that a last minute cancellation warrants loss of a deposit, or even three months in advance - but SEVEN months notice and no word from her for three months???
