I used to visit this pub restaurant years ago when I lived in the village. The present owners have refurbished the building and added an attractive conservatory / extension onto the rear. This has been done very tastefully and has transformed a tired old village pub into a nice bright cheerful place to enjoy lunch or dinner with a drink or two. Food is nicely prepared and of good value. The menu is also pretty good by pub standards. We recently went for lunch and my wife chose a chicken caesar salad and I opted for the gammon. Both were tasty and served in good sized portions. Good sized car parking is available to the rear of the pub which is situated on the high street opposite the Post Office in the beautiful country village of Christleton on the outskirts of Chester.
All in all, this is a very attractive pub, nicely decorated with good food and friendly service. There are also tables set outside the conservatory area if you prefer to sit outside. I would comfortably recommend this pub for a visit. Enjoy.
