Me and my girlfriend went for a valentines break at the abode which include a night stay and an evening meal at the Micheal Caine restaurant and breakfast. We upgraded our room to an enviable as we wanted a room with a bathtub. The room was amazing, ok we didn't get the best view but I was more than happy. The bed was amazing very big and so comfortable. Having the bath in the main room was cool and plenty of room for two people. Breakfast was awesom delivered to the room in a selected fifteen time slot, it arrived bang on time. The room had lots of complimentery toiletries and loads of tea coffee and hot chocolate. Staff were great throughout. One thing I did think was a bit cheeky was £10 per night for parking, when your paying so much for a room it should be included.

We stayed here last night. Excellent location and staff were very attentive. Has to be the best hotel bed I have ever slept in - fine linen and pillows just right. Lovely views over the racecourse and champagne bar on 5th floor added to our stay. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends.

Had a great night here last weekend. The hotel was one of the best I have ever stayed in. The food in the restuarant kind of topped of the whole day Fantastic! Quality of the service was amazing all the staff deserve a big pat on the back. Loved it that much have already booked the valentines package for me and my partner this weekend. Can't wait!. One word of advice, look out for the car park or you will miss it! Highly recommended hotel a short drive from chester zoo and easy walking distance to chester city centre! Enjoy!!!!

We stayed at the Abode on a saturady night for my partners birthday. We live in the area so were purely going for a night out at a hotel and a good meal. I can honestlly say this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. We booked a suite on the 6th floor and they are certainly worth the price. The room was spacious, very nicely appointed and the view was amazing. I booked my partner into the spa where he had a lovely massage and then we had dinner at the Michael Caine restaurant. We have eaten in restaurants all over the world, inlcuding restaurants with Michelin stars, and I have to say that the food here was better. We had the tasting menu with the wines and every course was amazing. The waiting staff are very friendly and the chef is clearly passionate about food. We had a great nights sleep and then breakfast in our room in the morning. The breakfast was again one of the best I have had in a hotel. I was expecting the hotel to be good but it exceeded my expectations in every way, the staff and managment here obviously care whether or not you have a good stay. We will certainly be going back, hopefully sooner rather than later.

FOllowing a long journey in the rain and wind we arrived at the car park of the hotel which provided plenty of space in generously sized slotas for anysize car. Dont be afraid to park in the bays that arent labelled up, as the hotels allocated slots are a few tiny bays hidden behind the main parking circle. The hotel have flexibility at the weekend of others bays but if you are travelling to stay on a weekday check they have availablity before you pay for the car parking fee of £10 per day.

We checked in at reception where the staff were professional and friendly. We were only staying for 1 night to attend a family birthday party but on entering the hotel and peeking into the different lounge and bar areas felt disappointed we hadn't gone for the whole hog and booked for 2 nights (next time). We booked a basic room which was more than satisfactory with a beautiful view on the ROAD! however the room was extremely quiet and the solid slide windows cut out the road noise which meant we had a peacful nights sleep.

With arriving so late we decided to eat in the hotel and visited the hotel cafe bar grill. The service was a little slow but was made up for by the extremely attentive staff and quality of food. Although we didnt make a fuss over the slowness of service the staff constantly apologised for this and then gave us a 25% discount when they presented the bill. thankyou!

The room it self was comfortable with a beautiful soft bed and the option to change your pillows. The bathroom was modern, clean and spacious with elegant complimentary soaps and shampoos that matched the rooms modern and luxury feel. Little tip, before you ring down to recpetion to moan their are no tea and coffe facilties have al ittle looki the wardrobe.

Breakfast was a treat on the 5th floor as we were shown to a table in the stuning windows overlooking the racecourse. Over the years we have stayed in many hotels accross the world for work from those that don't deserve any star rating to 5 star accomodation. The service and quality for food at breakfast matched the best of the 5 star London hotels we have often stay in, which made me feel almost guilty at the rate of £112 for the night including breakfast and parking.

We will definately book this hotel again and i use it as our prefered option for viisting family in Chester in the future.

Room Tip: Wvn though the room was on the road and blocked out the noise, the racecourse is an impressive view if you want ot upgrade.
