Lovely hotel. Attentive staff. Stayed last night ahead of a business meeting this morning. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Chester. We had a lovely view of the racecourse. A 5 minute walk and you are in the city center. Breakfast this morning was lovely. Well cooked food and a perfect portion size.

Recommended.

We have just arrived back from a weekend at the abode. To say it was great is an understatement. Nothing was ever too much for the staff. Special shout out to luke for looking after us.

The room was just the right size, spotless and the bed was very comfy. The hotel itsself had two bars a gym and spa, which my girlfriend took full oppertunity of and had a facial and massage which she really enjoyed.

We had a lovley meal up in the michael caines upstairs and my bill for two including two glasses of champange, two straters and mains and a load of other drinks and a 12% tip came to £71 which was very good value for money.

I have reccommend the hotel to all my friends if they ever stay at chester.

Room Tip: Try and get a view either over chester racecourse or the city.

The good...
Nice position
Micheal Cain Restaurant is really really good.
Rooms are good, better than any Hilton or Marriot I have been in.
Security is good, your card works the life (Swipe it on the panel, first time you might look foolish)
Nice Gym.
Second restaurant if you want a cheaper option.
Couple of Bars.
Easy walk into chester which has a large number of good restaurants.
If you are a hotel guest ask for the menu in the Micheal Cane restaurant that is for residents only (Its limited but makes it within the range of an expensis claim as the prices are lower).
Great Parking, under the hotel it has its own car park.
Professional staff

The Bad
Eating in the restaurants (In Particular the Micheal Cain) is expensive, but I have to say the Micheal Cain is a cut above the competition.
I admit ive been sat here trying to come up with more and failed.

The hotel room was great and just what we needed. Beautifully furnished, comfortable bed and functional with stylish bathroom. The view of the offices opposite wasn't great, but what I expected given the location. The service at reception was ok, though the bar staff in the bar were great.

However it was the much anticipated meal at Michael Caines restaurant which let it down. The food was ok, but very overpriced - £25 for a tiny portion of seabass on noodles, which wasn't exceptional. The service extremely slow. At first we thought that they were leaving a polite amount of time between courses, but then we noticed that people who had arrived after us were being served first, and we had to chase each course. As a result, I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to friends or revisit.

This contemporary style hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Chester. It’s in a good location, near to the racecourse and castle. The rooms are well equipped and clean. The ground floor Bar Brasserie is great value and provides lovely food. The bar is great for a light lunch and evening drinks too.
What makes this Hotel stand out from others is the staff. Nothing is too much trouble, everyone is pleasant and helpful. Special thanks to Megan.
I suppose the best example of what I thought is that we planned to stay for one night and stayed for three, eating each day in the Hotel for lunch and evening meal and drinks too. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Room Tip: The least expensive rooms are very good but if you want views and dressing gowns just pay a bit more...

This is a really excellent new hotel and is a really good addition to the city. Well situated and well designed. Parking is good (but not free) and the food is outstanding. My wife and I have become increasingly fussy with hotel/ service/ restaurant standards over the years (probably an age thing!) and this hotel impressed us both. Highly recommended.

the design is original but practical every, plug is in the right place. Decent hairdryer and iron and board. The tv and video player work properly. You can change your pillows to feather if you prefer- reception so helpful-. restaurants great food.- sadly the michael caines restaurant and bar on top floor was closed su nday night so we had a great steak in the grill. Because we were going to a family gathering for lunch we didn't want a full breakfast on sun but did enjoy an excellent full english on mon with the most amazing view over the racecourse - excellent food and service. The only thing I would change are those awful coathangers
It was a 4 star but felt like a 5. The location couldn't be better 5 mins walk from centre of town but in a quiet location. Not sure how quiet it would be on race days. We will definately stay there again.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the racetrack. If you don't like heights ask for a lower floor as t...
