We stayed at Abode for a nice weekend break away and stayed for one night!
We were fortunate to get a car parking space, and although it was £10 per night, it meant we could park up the car and forget about it during our stay.
The hotel was really nice - modern, clean etc. We stayed in a 'desirable' room on the 4th floor. The room was large and had a great shower!
We visited the champagne lounge on the evening which had a nice atmosphere and began our night well!
My only criticism of the hotel was that the room was noisy. We slept quite badly due to this as we could hear other guests returning from their night in the early hours, occasional running/draining water from somewhere near by, a banging noise which could have been the lift (though we couldn't decide) and banging from a breakfast being delivered to a room near by early in the morning. It was frustrating, especially after returning to the room early so we could have a good nights rest, ready for our plans the following day.
Breakfast in the restaurant was nice, although expensive. It did seem a little bit expensive to spend the same amount on continental breakfast as a cooked?! (Literally a bowl of cereal and a croissant)
We would def come to have a drink at the hotel again, but not sure about staying for the price we payed?

We stayed at Abode whilst visiting the Chester food and drink festival at the racecourse.
We had a lovely quiet room, fab service by the staff, so in-obtrusive and relaxed, dinner in the MC cafe bar which was delicious and to top it all a wonderfully cooked and served breakfast. We were on the £99.00 package offer, what a deal. Thanks to Christophe and the team, well worth staying at this lovely hotel.

We stayed at the Abode Chester for our 2nd anniversary, and had a two night stay.
On arrival we were greeted at reception, and advised that we had been upgraded. (My sister had called up and upgraded the room.)

We were staying in the Fabolous rooms, on the 6th floor, and we stayed in Sea Pigeon. (There are only 2 other rooms on this floor)

On arrival into the room, we were amazed. We had a view out over the top of the hotel, but facing out towards Chester Racecourse. We could see the winners circle, and parts of the track,. The racecourse is only on the other side of a road. The whole one side of the room, was window, so the view was vast.

The room was fantastic, the bed was massive, with 3 pillows side by side.
The bathroom had a roll top bath, and a walk in shower.
There was also a sitting room,

For entertainment there was a TV and Ipod dock.

A fantastically clean, modern, and stylish room, which certainly was greatly recieved.

We never ate in the restaurant of the hotel (a personal rule), but we know people who have eaten at the Michael Caines restaurant elsewhere and they raved about how good the food is there.

Although the hotel was expensive, as an anniversary treat, it was worth it, especially with the upgrade courtesy of my sister.

Location wise, it is situated slightly out of the town centre, but if your going to the racecourse, there isnt a better location.
It was only a short 5-10 minute walk into town, for the shops, bars and resturants.

Room Tip: If you can, upgrade to the fabulous rooms.

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, staff were friendly and helpful and first inpressions the front entrance was clean, tidy and not intimidating, a bar area is to the right which was nicely decorated and cosy. The room wasn't massive but big enough and had everything needed, including hairdryer and iron. It is a contemporary hotel which is kept very clean. The bathroom is a wet room with plenty of space and nice complementary's. The bed is very comfortable, though surprised to find it wasn't a king size. The window from ceiling to floor overlooked the front of the hotel. There is a gym but we didn't have time to visit it, was surprised to find there is no pool. We parked the car in the hotel's underground car park as the walk to the centre of Chester was 5mins. We ate at a different restaurant each night, the Blackhouse Grill being our favourite, good food at a good price with relaxing surrounds and when we were there someone was singing and playing a piano with known songs.

We stayed for two nights at this fantastic hotel. The building is very modern, stylish rooms and a snazzy bar. We had an amazing view of the race course from our room, whcih we didn't expect, as the room wasn't that expensive. We had a delicious meal in the Abode Michael Caine restaurant which was a bit pricey but worth every penny. The hotel is located closely to the city centre, 5 mins walking distance and 10 mins from closest restaurant. The only negative thing was that it didn't have a swimming pool or a spa. We would definitely recommend this hotel for couples and friends, but unsuitable for a families.
