We stayed overnight on a Sunday for my boyfriend's 21st birthday and had an excellent time. When we arrived in our room they had written a birthday card and included a free box of chocolates waiting on our bed which was a lovely special touch. Dinner in Michael Caines Cafe Bar and Grill was delicious - even included free glasses of prosecco and decorated the cake we had brought. Staff were very attentive throughout the hotel and made us feel welcome. The room was very clean, with a powerful shower, a soft bed and excellent views of the racecourse from our balcony. One criticism would be the price of some of the drinks at the bar. Other than that we highly recommend aBode and would definitely stay again!

Room Tip: Try and get a view of the racecourse if you can! It was lovely standing and looking out on the balcony.

rooms very confortable with all you need: AC, hairdryer, ironing, nice pilows, big beds... an if you are lucky you can get a room with a great bath! fitness room is very good. If you travel from Europe just think about an adaptor.
The location is really good too as it is near the town center
I highly recomand this hotel.

Stayed one night here. Rooms are bright, not very spacious but efficient.
Working desk does the job and internet runs pretty well.
Walking distance to the center and with a nice view on the greenery surrounding the hotel.
Bar was not serving any food in the afternoon and breakfast was not showing anything fantastic. Very limited choice.
Clearly for the room the hotel is right. For F&B, I'd skip and walk to the restaurants in town.

We needed to break our journey to Anglesey and decided to spend it here. It could not be easier to find, come in on the A483, cross the Dee and the large circular building is the Abode. It is modern, clean and comfortable and we found all staff friendly and welcoming. Not only is it easy to find, it is adjacent to the city wall which encircles Chester (not for the infirm) but a lovely way of getting into the town. We had a great stay and would certainly stay here again. Only gripe...we were so pleased with everything we called for a bottle of prosecco to be sent to our room. Mistake! cost £34 plus £4 room service, bring your own or walk into town (5 minutes). Really no need for a good hotel to charge such a mark up. If it's a sunny evening, the adjacent "Architect" is a great pub to sit out at.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room or you can pay £15 extra for a balcony & bath if you wish.
