Iv been here a few times and food has always been quite good. Came today and waited downstairs for the menus which dont go out until 6pm. At 6pm after being seated downstairs for 45 mins I went up to get a table and was told abruptly that they were fully booked until 8pm . So we had to eat in the middle of the pub despite the fact that no booked parties went upstairs between 6 & 7pm. Ordered nachos which were dry with only a teaspoon of salsa and the cheese was cold and hard when it arrived! Bit dissapointing for a £7 starter dish. I may as well have bought a bag of doritos. No one came to ask if everything was okay with the food and it wasnt busy enough for staff not to show an interest. Was gonna order desert but thought why bother!
Shame that poor service and a lazy chef has put me off a place I had previously raved about.

I think this really deserves a score of 3.5. Food was ok, calamari was quite salty and chips were a bit greasy. Portions are quite substantial. Building is very nice, try and get a seat outside overlooking the canal.

Sat in the beer garden now with an amazing ales. The tatton tackle is a great local beer and the black coral stout is awesome. Well worth spending an evening here.

Yummie, tasty food and delightful setting. I wish it was nearer home and I'd eat there every day! The pub is tastefully decorated in the style fitting for a canal side bistro- restaurant.

Excellent ale, excellent food with a fantastic band and a great location. This former wearhouse by the canal offers everything. The prices aren't too horrendous too.
