Having eaten here previously, felt confident their take out service would be as good but I couldn't have been more wrong. Rice was full of onions (since when did pilau rice have onions in it?), could count the amount of chicken pieces (all sauce). Phoned to complain but they couldn't give a toss. Very disappointed.

Due to our favourite curry house shutting down we have been trying to find a new favourite. We have come across a lot of let downs an this one is by far the winner so far! The food was perfect, cooked exactly to order and reasonably priced.
Will definatly return.

Having not booked a table, we worried this place (like others we'd tried earlier) would be full on a sunny Fri evening. When we walked in and saw only 1 table seated we almost walked out again thinking this was not a good sign (with this being our 1st time). I'm really glad we didn't.

Service was friendly & efficient. Popadoms, Malaya, tandoori chicken, nan all wonderful and quite delicious. Staff very happy to doggy-bag what we couldn't finish.

I'm not sure why this place isn't busier. At £65 for 3 it wasn't cheap but pretty average, I guess. Atmosphere lacking but hard to create an atmosphere when so quiet. Still, these things wouldn't put us off returning to sit or take away- we'll be back!

When visiting Chester for the weekend we were told by "locals" that the best Indian restaurant in town was the Indian Flava, Brook st, Chester.
Believing our new found friends we decided to give it a try and YES the locals were right.
The starters of chicken tikka and shish kebab were outstanding. But on a Saturday night @ 8pm why was it so quiet ? The main courses of Chicken Tikka Madras and Chicken Korma again were very tasty, cooked to perfection and complimented by a freshly cooked Nan Bread and fried rice were excellent.
The meal was completed by a complimentary "baileys shot" and the usual lemon wipes.
Total bill including drinks £36 ! !
Why was it so quiet ? I can only surmise that the good people of Chester do not know what a wonderful restaurant they have in a side street off the beaten track ! Chester people its time to forget the main stream Indian restaurants and visit the finest and best value Indian Restaurant on your doorstep ! ! I can't wait to go back during my next weekend visit.

years ago, maybe 7, our friedns took us along to their favourite restaurant - the indian flava. and they were right its fabulous. either `sit-in or `take-away` the people who work there are great always ready to chat, the food is divine. we buy veggie stuff and we always ask for extra coconut on our Peshwari and its always so delicious. the whole experience is great.
