No arguments with the Eaton, for Chester it is value for money. Breakfast could have been a bit warmer but that's me being picky. The bed was clean and comfortable. Excellent position by the re-generated canal area and just a short walk from the city centre. There was a good few other establishments near by that were charging a lot more and had nothing extra than the Eaton had to offer . The meals on an evening were basic but freshly cooked and plentiful. Would stay again.

The hotel had no knowledge of my booking when I arrived. I'd booked by telephone and left my debit card details. I'd requested a booking reference but was reassured none was needed and that the booking had been made. So I was understandably annoyed to be told my booking didn't exist, on a busy weekend. After some persistent complaining on my part they found me a room.

The room was OK but too dark - only one of the many wall lamps had working lightbulbs in. The overhead light flickered and buzzed. The wifi was unreliable with a poor signal.

Positive points - the room was clean.

I stayed on a room only basis so no idea about the food.

Room Tip: Take earplugs as the street outside is quite noisy.

Well located hotel for Chester station and city centre. Accommodation was clean and staff very nice and helpful. Downsides are that there is no hotel parking and the street parking during the day is only for an hour. Also a little noisy from canalside traffic and the road. Overall a good place to stay for your visit to this lovely city.

Stayed for a week and was very pleased with the friendly service, central location and great value for money. Big breakfasts to start the day. Only issue is parking but it's fine in the evening. Will book there again.

Visited in sept this year. Went by train so brilliant location. Room was very compact but clean, TV did not work. Good service. Would use again.the hotel is about 5 minutes walk from rail station and 10 minutes from city centre, shops, cathedral and all attractions.
