Starting our holiday in Wales we stayed here for one night after arriving at Manchester Airport, made a tour in lovely Chester the next morning.
We booked a small double which was really small, but complete. Including a small bathroom, very efficiently fitted. No, you couldn't dance around the bed and the bed itself was small. But that was what we booked didn't we?
We had dinner there, which was excellent. And next morning we had breakfast, which was perfect.
Staff were very friendly indeed, including the 'Cheshire cat' napping on the reception desk.
The layout of the hotel was a bit queer, perhaps a few houses joined together, with several stairways and corridors.
The lounge downstairs was very nice for evening drinks, with several different 'sittingrooms' in corners.More
