We often stay here when visiting Chester. It's location is perfect and the staff are very friendly and are more than happy to help and advise on things to do etc. The rooms we have stayed in have all been a good size, individually decorated with a great bathroom.

We have eaten here at the brasserie for lunch and its quite pricey but the food is good. We did not enjoy our breakfast though and we now always have breakfast in one of the many cafes in Chester. I haven't eaten at the Simon Radley restaurant yet but i hope to soon!

Even though the decor is lovely, it's the service and staff that make this hotel a genuine 5*. The only thing to let it down, tablecloths not ironed in the temporary dining room. Otherwise excellent, they made us feel special from the moment we arrived.

Really nice hotel with brilliant staff who make it special. Only downside was the shower wasn't very powerful but don't let it stop you.

A visit and stay to this 5 star emporium is a must for all. The level of service is exceptionally high provided by a large number of obviously well trained staff at all levels. Not here have the numbers been cut as in many hostelries in these lean times.
From the doorman to the management you get what you pay for - a five star experience. It isn't cheap but little touches like the personal letter in your room on arrival, The maid bringing you eater in the early evening with a one page summary of the weather forecast and whats afoot tomorrow, the excellent service and friendliness of the Arkle Bar and the "nothing is too much trouble" attitude of the reception staff.
Comes highly recommended and be prepared for an experience to savour.
