This hotel has been on my wishlist for atleast 10 years . Just had a 1 night stay with my husband .
Staff - Outstanding
Rooms- Individual luxury
Location-central ...everything within walking distance.
If you are looking for a good deal only deal with the hotel direct as I have checked with all operators (as I am a travel agent) and nobody could beat their offers .
Stayed in a deluxe room just next to the clock tower ( room 320) and it was gorgeous .
I am just checking my calendar for when we can go again ....
Park at the car park at the back of the hotel then you can get a discounted rate of £8.50 for 24 hours then you can settle it with the bill .They will also deliver a hot drink to your room prior to breakfast in the morning which was also divine .

Room Tip: Do not bother asking for the hospitality tray as the coffee is not that nice .Room 320 was great loc...

This is not the first time we have stayed here at this superb hotel.
From the moment one enters to the moment one leaves it makes for one fabulous experience.
There is no pecking order here or a feel of senior staff versus junior, just a team that work together from management down.
The hotel is right in the city centre so you have everything on the doorstep. Do not be wary of arriving by car, just head for the city centre and cathedral. Just by the cathedral there is a barrier and a Grosvenor doorman waiting your arrival and who will direct you to the door.
Here another doorman and porter will greet you, take your luggage and valet park your car for just £8.50 a day, which is a brilliant deal for Chester parking.
Reception is a private affair with one being seated at a small table and within minutes one is checked in and being shown to the room.
We have had the pleasure of both a standard room and on this our recent visit a suite. I can honestly say that all the rooms we have stayed in here have been first class and the height of pure luxury with service to match.
Housekeeping is of the same first class standard as is room service which we thoroughly enjoyed each evening during our recent stay.
Do try the Grosvenor Club Sandwich and also the Grosvenor Caesar Salad in room, you will not be disappointed.
We enjoyed drinks with family in the bar this weekend and again service and ambience was superb.
The restaurants were closed during our stay due to major makeover, but we knew this and we still enjoyed the excellent service offered as an alternative...including breakfast.

The hotel is pure joy and the staff....all of them... are absolutely wonderful. Do take the time to stop for a chat with them.
Go and enjoy some shopping, drop your bags off with the porter....then do some more.
Go and be made to feel special......in this very special place.
We have already booked another stay.

Enjoy.

I have wanted to stay at the Chester Grosvenor for some time and have often wondered what was behind the impressive wooden doors, complete with doormen but have not been able to justify the cost. Due to the refurbishment of their restaurants The Chester Grosvenor offered some very reasonable rates for the months of January and February and we booked.
The hotel was an experience rather than a stay, from the parking and staff to the amazing rooms equiped with everything you would expect in a 5* hotel. The decor, breakfast and location are all excellent.
Thankyou for a making my Birthday treat so enjoyable.

We had a special birthday lunch here recently. The food was lovely, piping hot and we were treated very well by all staff. The whole experience, again , was a delight.

We often stay here when visiting Chester. It's location is perfect and the staff are very friendly and are more than happy to help and advise on things to do etc. The rooms we have stayed in have all been a good size, individually decorated with a great bathroom.

We have eaten here at the brasserie for lunch and its quite pricey but the food is good. We did not enjoy our breakfast though and we now always have breakfast in one of the many cafes in Chester. I haven't eaten at the Simon Radley restaurant yet but i hope to soon!

Even though the decor is lovely, it's the service and staff that make this hotel a genuine 5*. The only thing to let it down, tablecloths not ironed in the temporary dining room. Otherwise excellent, they made us feel special from the moment we arrived.
