Recently spent another two nights at the Queen hotel, and once again, was very happy with my room (refurbished to a very high standard), and my breakfasts - although I would prefer not to have make my own toast! That aside everything was excellent from arrival to departure, and I will definitely be back when I'm next in Chester.

I have just stayed at the Best Western Premier Queen's in Chester and what a pleasant surprise was had. From the outside, you will never guess the quirky period features in the hotel. I stayed there over a weekend for a conference and there was a wedding on each of the nights. I stayed in the Kings sector and the rooms are fabulous. There was only one issue and that was the wardrobe was too close to the bed but everything was amazing.

On my second day there I tried there award winning Green Thai Curry and it was amazing. It is so convenient too being across the road from the station. The staff are excellent and if I am in the area I will definitely stay here again

Room Tip: 501 was lovely

I've stayed in a few Best Western hotels, but the Premmier Queens has got to be one of the best.

It has a really unusual interior, as shown in my photos, and is steeped in history.

The rooms on my floor are all named after Kings and Queens, Chineese Kings in my instance.

Hotel is situated opposite the train station and minutes from the historic town with all it's interesting shops hidden away in alley ways.

Food in resttaurant was of a high standard and the service attentive.

Good large size bedrooms.

Hotel also has a few outside courtyards for drinks, great in the warmer weather.

A quirky hotel, well worth a visit.

We stayed for one night in the Henry 8th suite, we were pleasantly surprised by the room, lovely four-poster bed and corner bath. It had plenty of character and was almost like stepping back in time, making for a very special stay. The hotel itself was wonderfully quirky, stylish and grand. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Could not fault our stay and can’t wait to return!

This hotel is very convenient for travelling by train as it is literally just outside the station. Distance into town is about 10 minutes which you can do by the canal. Staff are helpful and friendly, rooms are very comfortable and themed so always interesting to find out which queen/king we have been allocated! Breakfast is excellent - good variety and hot food is hot no matter what time you make it down. Bar is a bit on the expensive side and beware the Saturday night weddings - congestion in the bar and quite a bit of noise but it only lasts until midnight so bearable. Highly recommended!

Chester is a lovely city to visit, and the Queens Hotel is fairly convenient for the centre (a 15 minute walk), and adjacent to the station. The decoration of the hotel is eclectic with a royal theme. However, I was disappointed that my room was very dark, and that throughout the 4 days my wife and I were there, there was no heating in the room (in October) apart from a noisy fan heater which was provided when I complained that the radiators did not work. I expected better for £136 per night. Also, there is no need to use the hotel car park which is priced at £10 per day Mon-Thurs and £15 per day from Fri-Sun. The adjacent station car park is £5.70 per day, and a park over the road was advertising at £3.50 per day.
