Booked in the Double Tree Chester in late October with my wife and 2 children. We got a great rate from the hotel of £120 a night in a suite. Arrival and checkin very efficient and we were given cookies. I'm a Hilton Honors Gold Member and was given vouchers to spend in the hotel bar as they don't have an Executive Floor. room was excellent very well equipped and furnished with a separate lounge area where my daughter and son slept. We ate in the Marco Pierre White Restaurant on both nights and the food was excellent. Staff in hotel and the restaurant were very friendly and made us feel very welcome, they also went out of their way with regard to both children, bringing them colouring books etc. Breakfast was buffet and very good. We used the Spa and that was brilliant although there are restrictions on when you can go with the children which is good for couples and also members of the spa.
Would definitely stay again.

Great long weekend at the hotel and I echo what people have been saying. The service was good even though there were two weddings on that weekend, we ate in our room one evening and then enjoyed the Marco P-W steakhouse for one and then a restaurant in Chester for the third, all good choices.

The spa was really handy, not too busy at the weekend so we spent lots of time using it. My best advice, go for a room with shower rather than bath, I think they have been refitted more recently and as a result, feel a bit smarter.

Room Tip: Shower rather than shower/bath

I have stayed in many Hiltons and this one is a real credit to the brand. Great service on check-in and in the restaurants. The superb food and service at the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse is reason enough to come, but you will need to book on arrival as it was close to full on a Monday night. Will definitely be back when in the area again. Did not have a chance to use spa facilities, but looked very inviting.

Stayed for one night - 6 girls - had a great time. Two rooms, one family room and one twin. Hotel lovely just a niggle with water not being hot enough in the family room and the shower overflowing in the twin but were quickly given another room key. Rooms very spacious. Spa facilities fantastic, Great pool and fab outdoor jacuzzi area. Breakfast was very good too.
Hotel is not far from Chester, got a taxi into town cost around £7.50. Found a great wine bar called Duttons, tucked away on a small side street tables outside and lovely inside. Food really good. On the way home stopped at Cheshire Oaks for more retail therapy - loved it there!!
