Where to start
Looking forward to my 2 nights
What a let down
The room small and dark
Hairs on bed , toilet urine stained
Door to empty fridge large sharp screw sticking through enough to give you a bad rip
Noise from banging doors bad
Dinner in bistro Monday night as we had booked Marcos on the Tuesday night
Food in bistro bland and from freezer not fresh
After 50 mins we still had not been served
Lost our order
Asked 4 times for wine list got it then nobody asked us if we wanted wine.
The bistro was not busy
The manager offered us a drink each for the time it took.
Breakfast very poor
Quality of food poor
But the point I would like to make if you are in a 4 star hotel why oh why do you have a self service for coffee
I want some looking after
Over all shocking
I don't normally write reviews but this hotel fell way short of expectations
We left after 1 night it was so bad
Won't be back

My wife and I stayed here on our wedding night in a suite and we were both very impressed. I checked in early on during the day, the suite wasn't ready but that wasn't a problem; the very helpful checkin assistant took our bags and sent them up to the room so they were waiting for us when we arrived. The warm cookies on checkin were a great touch.

The room was big and well equipped. The bathroom big and clean. There was a congratulations cake waiting for us- again great touch.

We arrived late at night and left early morning after breakfast (which was great, although the coffee was self service) and so probably didn't get to appreciate this hotel fully. Even still all the staff we encountered were friendly and efficient and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: Suites are very nice!

Stayed one night at the Hilton-room was nice and facilities seemed very good (though can't speak for the Spa facilities as we did not have time to use them).
Decor was nice and the hotel was clean. The hotel from the outside is stunning and surroundings lovely in a good location- taxi into town only cost 5 or 6 pounds.
Staff were friendly enough though did take a little while for service when we returned to the hotel for a drink after our evening meal and atmosphere was not up to much but then hotel did not appear to be particularly busy (but then again I have to stress we did not spend a great amount of time at the hotel during our stay).
Breakfast selection was good though cooked breakfast very greasy.
Overall this was a nice hotel however I feel it was expensive for what it was. However I think its great that had we had the time we could have accessed spa facilities as part of the package. Think this would be good for a quieter more relaxing stay in Chester.

The drive up to the hotel is lovely n there was plenty of car park spaces. The reception area was very spacious, clean and modern. We was greeted by a friendly receptionist n offered a warm chocolate cookie.

Our room was once again clean and modern.

We went out into Chester for the day and had tea there too so cant comment on the evening meals in the Doubletree but the breakfast we had as room service was brill. We had full english breakfasts with poached eggs, some fruit and small cakes plus fresh orange juice n teas & coffees...all whilst in my dressing gown...yum.

We are defiantly coming back and this time will use the spa area plus have our evening meal there too...i hope itll be just as good as this time.

A lovely ,manor house tastefully extended. Situated in the outskirts of Chester. Easy access to the city with its significant.

Very helpful pleasant staff. Good casual dining in the Brasserie. Rooms are tastefully decorated. The suites are beautiful.
