Friendly check-in, nice room. Went for drink in the bar but found it full with a wedding party - can't be helped, but they did take over and meant service was very slow and it was difficult to have a quiet relaxing drink. Came back for dinner, which was very nice in the conservatory (although the conservatory might be a bit dismal if it had been raining or cold). The restaurant staff were friendly and service was quick. Was pleased to find a free business centre for checking e-mails, although the computers has no obvious security in place, so could be open to abuse - just make sure you erase your own browsing history and passwords. Second day we travelled into Chester city centre - by bus - the stop is immediately outside the hotel entrance, although not a particularly regular service so check the times in advance. Convenient not to have to move the car, however! Second night we ate at Marco Pierre White's, which was exceptionally good and outshines the hotel's own restaurant completely. Overall, an excellent stay, which would have an 'excellent' review if only for a little more organisation when the bar is busy!

Just stayed in this hotel in chester, although general appearance of hotel clean and tidy, our room was not vacuumed for the entire length of our stay. Glasses in room were dirty left them out for washing and all that was done was a rinse under tap, I suggest glasses should be changed after each guest.. This was a mid summer small break to help relax and unwind us which is why we teated ourselves to this 4 star hotel I would rate as a three star. All staff were courteous and breakfasts were very nice however.

Stayed for 2 nights with extended family for my daughter's wedding. I really couldn't fault the hotel in any respect. The facilities were all excellent and the staff were, without exception, friendly and attentive. It does seem very busy as a wedding venue and breakfast service was, at times, rather stretched. This would be my only small quibble. I would absolutely recommend the hotel to anyone looking for an all-in wedding venue and look forward to returing as a guest. I particularly liked the pool/jacuzzi area - fantastic.

I enjoyed a one night stay at this hotel last week. Our room was very modern and clean with a huge bed which was extremely comfortable.

We had eat from the bar menu which was very tasty and well presented.

The spa is lovely very relaxing and well worth a visit.

Just returned from our third trip in as many months. We took our teenage daughter with us this time and she enjoyed it as much as we did. We didnt arrive until late but that wasnt a problem as all our requests had been taken care of. On the saturday we used the pool and sauna which was thankfully not too busy. My daughter had a spray tan in the spa and although a bit pricey was done proffessionally and thankfully she wasnt sleeping in my sheets as the residue came off and made a mess on the sheets. We only had breakfast and as usual it was excellant, hot and plentiful. Although the restuarant was busy there were plenty of staff around to clear plates etc. All in all another lovely stay and i am sure we will return again. The one bug bear that I have thou is people parking in the disabled parking. There are plenty of parking spaces so please dont park there unless needed. I felt I had to comment on this to reception because in the 3 visits i have made, the biggest culprit is the vehicle that is advertising the spa. Dont do it.
