We felt really lucky to find this cafe in the rows at Chester. We sat outside tucked under the rows and overlooking the shopping street. Great for people watching and they had a jazz band playing below! perfect on s lovely sunny day. We enjoyed a really lovely cream tea with fresh warm scones. More jam would have been good, we should have asked, although there were individual pots of clotted cream. It was very reasonable and was served with a smile! I would recommend this small but friendly cafe/restaurant.

Just returned from a day out in Chester in the sunshine and treated to lunch by my husband. We've eaten at Burlington's before and also tried but they were full. We were in luck today as it is usually quiet the day following the races. Back to the meal. We ordered one special of soup and a panini, homemade tomato and pork, sage and onion stuffing and apple and a chicken, bacon, cheese and mayo panini. It was wonderful. I couldn't actually finish my chicken panini as there was so much on the plate along with the accompanying salad. The lunch sitting on the veranda looking down at the shoppers was really relaxing and with waitress service you don't keep having to get up and collect stuff. The lunch only cost us £14 which was a bargain given that I was stuffed. Everything is made to order so nothing is stale. Lovely position and ambiance. Would definitely recommend and will go again. Their hot chocolate is lovely too although I didn't have that during this visit.

Nice little cafe tucked into the rows - not posh or salubrious but good value food in decent surroundings

We stumbled across this little gem of a cafe while visiting Chester for the weekend. Just needed a refuel after a busy morning taking in the sights. Burlington's is hidden away on the rows and so glad we found it. Menu is fairly standard for a cafe but when it arrives it's true home cooking just like your mum makes. We had toasties which came with a pasta, cous cous and coleslaw salad, delicious!! The staff were really friendly and fun. One extra touch was the outside loo. Clean and very quaint! Will pop in again before we leave.
