We have just returned from a weeks stay at Jasmine cottage and I can honestly say it is the nicest cottage we have stayed in - spotlessly clean, comfortable furnishings, superbly equipped and brilliantly located. I could not fault it and we did not want to leave! We would love to stay again as there was so much to do that we did not get round to seeing. Thanks Karen, so pleased we chose your cottage!

Thank you for your lovely review. I am glad that you found Jasmine Cottage spotlessly clean. When I had my Quality in Tourism assessment last March I was delighted when I was awarded 100% for cleanliness. I look forward to welcoming you and your family back to my cottage another time. Thanks again, Karen Buchan [Property Owner].

Many thanks for your review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay in Jasmine Cottage. Chester Zoo is a very popular attraction and has just been voted the best in the UK. When I meet and greet those guests with families the children always tell me how excited they are about visiting the zoo. Many thanks again for taking the time to write a review. “A great place to stay in Chester.”
Reviewed 22 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

The cottage was everything we had expected...My partner had reviewed on the internet, and was thrilled at our choice. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and my partner was so thrilled at the location and cosy feel of the cottage. She is Korean and the experience has left her wanting to visit again. The modern yet antique feel is an experience to be savoured, and the hosts ensured we had everything we required. The lovely homely touch of the milk and tea ready for a nice relaxing cuppa after our long journey, together with a lovely bottle of wine and chocs (Yummy) for a relaxing evening winding down from our shopping / sight-seeing activities was well received. There are a number of alternate accomodation offered in Chester, but the cottages owned / managed by our hosts are of top quality.....so why bother with anything less? Well worth the visit and was an additional joy to a great holiday......can't guarantee the UK weather, but can guarantee a great place to stay during your visit.

Lovely cottage in a quiet location, but within east reach of this lovely city, We received a warm welcome from Karen, who left us with a welcome pack, including wine and chocolates. The interior is so lovely, with all the comforts one could want. brand new Smart TV and Blu ray player.
I would say that this is the best self catering place we have stayed in.

I am so pleased that you enjoyed Jasmine Cottage. The Smart Samsung 40" HD t.v. was purchased a few weeks' ago together with the Blu Ray DVD player from the John Lewis At Home Store which is a 5 minute walk from the cottage. Guests can now look forward to watching their favourite programmes when it suits them and not worry about recording them in advance. Thank you again for taking the time to write a review. Very much appreciated - Karen Buchan, property owner.

Three of us spent a week looking around Chester. We travelled by train. The Cottage is. About 10 minutes from the Chester Bus Exchange with the stop 100metres away. Its well equipped and immaculate. Good car space if required. A good walk into Chester via the canal ( c 30 mins). Excellent value for money. A bonus was the fresh fruit ,wine and welcome pack awaiting our arrival

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am very pleased you enjoyed your time in Jasmine Cottage. A lot of my guests who arrive by train use the bus service into the city centre. The buses are very frequent and run about every 10 minutes into the city centre. The bus station is also near the Chester Tourist Information Centre at the Town Hall. This is very handy if guests want to book excursions or pick up information on exploring Chester and Cheshire. Many thanks again - Karen.

“Excellent cottage”
Reviewed 14 January 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We stayed at this cottage during a trip home from australia and it exceeded all expectations and was a real home away from home. If you needed it the cottage had it, it was comfy, warm and well thought out. The owners even put up christmas decorations which was a nice touch! There was parking outside but it was a 15 minute walk to chester. There was lots of local information and dvds for quiet nights. We will stay there again and we have recommended it to a friend.

I am so pleased that my cottage exceeded your expectations and thank you for saying so. I try to make the cottage as warm and inviting as I can especially when I know that you have travelled from as far away as Australia and just need to rest after such a long journey. Thank you for recommending Jasmine Cottage to your friends. This again is very much appreciated. Karen Buchan [Property Owner]

This was our 3rd stay in Jasmine Cottage and we have also stayed in another of Karen's properties in Chester in the past. Karen's standards have not slipped at all, the property is in immaculate condition with everything you could possibly need for a weeks self catering. We were met by Karen on day one who gave us a friendly greeting and showed us around. A box of chocolates, biscuits, fresh fruit and milk were all left which was a nice touch. The property is well located with a bus stop right outside which allowed a quick and cheap bus trip into Chester to save using the car and it is a great location for visiting other places in the north west and Wales. Would highly recommend! We have stayed In a large number of self catering properties over the years and this probably ranks as the best.

Self catering accommodation is ideal for families giving you the freedom to explore the delightful city of Chester or simply taking a day off to relax in "home from home" surroundings. Thank you for taking the time to write this super review and for recommending Jasmine Cottage to your family for next year. This was very much appreciated.
