Loved the size and height of that amazing ceiling. It was incredible. We even stayed for a choir mass and we aren't religious. It was magnificent . And the best part it was free to enter.

We enjoyed our visit to the cathedral immensely. Lots of interesting features and a wonderful history. The Cathedral at Height tour was excellent. The guide was so informative and enthusiastic. It is quiet a climb, but lots of breaks on the way up at different levels and a bonus of the beautiful view at the top.

Whilst I have lived in the area most of my life it wasn't until last year that I decided to pay our cathedral a visit. I went one morning and spent a most enjoyable couple of hours walking round and investigating all the nooks and crannies. The staff as you go in are very pleasant and helpful if there's anything you need to know - there is no fee to enter although a voluntary contribution does help with the upkeep. Whilst I was there, there was work going on to allow access to the roof for views of the city although I don't know when this will be open to the public.

Made a change to go into a cathedral in the evening when there was no one around, no shop and no one asking for donations. A peaceful antidote to the shops and cafes!

Large and impressive cathedral with lots to interest. New 'Cathedral at Height' feature - you need to be physically fit to do this - there are 216 steps up. Free but they appreciate donations (suggestion is £3)
