This place lives exclusively off the location it is at. They clearly take all the money they make without investing a penny. Everything is cheap apart from the prices: plastic chairs, plastic cutlery, poor service and food missing quality. If you fancy a riverside lunch, chose another place!

We recently visited this cafe for lunch and we are very disappointed with the food, pricing and customer service. We ordered sandwiches - and were shocked by the the poor bread and fillings. Everything appeared cheap and processed as opposed to "fresh and home-made" in which they were described. I would not suggest that anyone eats at this cafe as she will be disappointed for sure. It is a great shame as the location is just perfect.

I visit the riverside tea gardens regularly and feel some reviews on here are quite unfair. The staff are welcoming and chatty in a friendly manner. The menu has a good variety of light bites, traditional English meals, sandwiches, salads etc. There is also an extensive drinks menu including herbal teas, cold beverages and a variety of coffees.
The setting is beautiful, with the terrace overlooking the river Dee and the interior decor reflecting its old English tea shop style. The staff are efficient and helpful, the scones are to die for and HUGE!
Go here if you want a friendly, comfortable place to eat and drink with beautiful scenery :)
