hello.
you had a table reserved for you in an area of our nigh on open plan building that we keep specifically for diners and we do not allow dogs into. you didn't wish to sit there. we said that would be fine and you sat on a table also reserved and within 3 seconds we realised that that table had been reserved in the front ( where we do allow dogs, on leads that are well behaved) by a group with a dog. we ask you, therefore, to sit on another table. this whole episode took less than one minute. it was caused because you wished to move. no problem with that. it is. however, not our "fault". not the greatest crime ever committed. maybe it is. shoot me.
artichoke isn't a dedicated restaurant. we don't even use the word restaurant. the front of the building acts as a cafe, a bar, for dining. we don't have stiff dress codes, the staff where t shirts, jeans and trainers. the food is all cooked by us. here. the bread, the cakes. the lot. what i'm getting to is that this is a relaxed casual place serving great quality, well flavoured food and matched with arguably the best all round drinks range in chester.
p.s. the dog never barked and sat quietly the whole time.
