We had only a one night stay here whilst visiting Chester and Northop in North Wales (saturday 21.6.14). The hotel is situated on the M55 and very easy to find and access, at the time of our visit three receptions were in progress and the dining room was unavailable. Staff made the best of a bad job and accommodated us with dinner in our room. Food was really good and well presented. Staff very attentive although very busy, overall we felt good value (£100 b & b)?

Room Tip: Specify non smoking when booking.

Used Sat Nav to get there but it took us to Pulford which is a village near but off the main route if you are going worth checking the Hotel's location on the map. It's a doddle to get there from the M way but miles out of the way if your s/nav messes up! Hotel is very well presented with very friendly helpful reception staff. Rooms quite spacious and very smart and clean. Bed comfortable and the noise levels were low. Only gripe was the price of breakfast and the prices of the bar meals and drinks but other than that very good stay.

Room Tip: On the booking form it asks if you want a quiet room worth going for as we were placed well away fro...

Have just returned from a 3 night stay in the hotel and once again we couldn't fault it. Having grown up locally this hotel makes an ideal base for visiting friends and family, it is a short bus ride from Chester and North Wales attractions are also easily travelled to. This visit we ate in the Junction Restaurant and the food was superb, beautifully presented and piping hot, we had relations visit one of the evenings we were there and one of them ate in the bar it looked so good we will be trying there on our next visit, breakfast, which is a buffet, was always good being replenished regularly, well cooked and always hot, you can also make your own pancakes if you want to. Our room was spotlessly clean and providec toiletries, a bathrobeand tea or coffee making facilities as there is a fridge in the room and a Tesco a few minutes away you can get fresh milk etc there and keep it cold. The staff were always friendly and went out of their way to help. Cant wait to return in December

This is a very friendly hotel and a good location for visiting Chester and the surrounding area. The booking process and check in were good and friendly and the room spacious and well equipped with a very big bathroom. We had booked a room with disabled facilities and were a little disappointed to find that there was an over bath shower although there was plenty of room to have put in a walk in shower. However there were plenty of grab rails etc.
The breakfast and dinner were excellent and again the service very good and friendly.
No free WiFi which was annoying bit overall would recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for a Saturday night to attend the races. Great location, only a couple miles from Chester centre or a fiver in a taxi. Booked a syndicate room on the ground floor, very spacious room and bathroom. Very comfy bed. Bar and restaurant in hotel, along with pool and sauna. Breakfast had good choice. Would definitely stay here again. Would recommend for anyone. Ample free parking too!

We stayed here for two nights with relatives last week. My husband got them half price by booking online and unrefundable. But- there were aspects of our stay that could have been better. Our room was fine, with comfortable beds, pillow and quilt, with nice crisp bedlinen. But the bathroom clearly had not been refitted for several decades. The loo seat disintegrated and I'm guessing not for the first time. There were no towels in the room so I had to phone reception who were too busy to answer, but when the towels arrived they were new and fluffy. The only meals we had in the hotel were breakfast which did not run smoothly. However it is only fair to say that the more mature staff were cheerful, helpful and welcoming. On the other hand, breakfast was theoretically served until 9.30 am but by 9 am the food was running out and the standard answer was "there is no more". Really? No more tins of fruit compote or containers of Greek yoghurt? No more marmalade? No more bread? I couldn't help thinking that there was a mission to control costs and reduce work. One of our party requested marmalade, was told first that there wasn't any, asked someone else and was brought marmite, asked yet another person who brought only one plastic portion. There was a particular star in the bar; Mark could not have been more obliging or professional and looked after us very well.
