Pros:
- we got it on a very, very cheap room only deal
- reception area is stunning
- reception staff were lovely, suggesting things to do and places to visit
- in fact, all the staff we met were very lovely
- breakfast was lovely and cooked to order
- it's in a great location
- there's a Harvester restaurant within easy walking distance

Cons:
- studio rooms a long way from reception
- NO lift?! How can a 4* hotel have no lift? Chatting to the staff, they have to lug linen upstairs.
- walls are paper thin. Fortunately it was very quiet when we stayed but we were still woken up by people moving around the corridors in the early morning.
- hotel spa isn't what I'd call a spa, it wasn't very luxurious and there were a fair few children having lessons. And you have to access it from outside - not ideal if you want to change/shower in your hotel room.
- service in the restaurant for breakfast wasn't great and everyone could hear your conversation with the waiting staff. Plates were delivered to the wrong tables and our order was incorrect.

Good points: Location excellent for visiting Chester and Cheshire Oaks.
Very professional friendly staff.
Reasonable breakfast.
Bad Points: Expensive Bar prices.
Room very tired and in need of refurbishment/decoration.
Leisure facilities in need of refurbishment.

I feel that the hotel needs a fair amount of refurbishment in order to maintain its 4 star status. Having been to other hotels in the area I feel that the hotel is a little overpriced for what it is.

Hospitality was as good as that from expensive city centre hotels. Break out area well stocked with different treats every time. Hot buffet lunch was great. Tea & coffee plentiful. Well done & would return.

The hotel is very smart & clean.

Food was good although the bar menu was very limited. Especially if you have allergies.

Bar prices dear, but what you would expect from a up market hotel. Around £4.50 a pint of lager.

Leisure/swimming pool was excellent!

Would stay again.
