“Well worth a visit.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 October 2013

We call in here when shopping in Chester. The staff are always friendly and the doorstep slices of hot buttered toast are ideal to fill a gap mid-morning.The only gripe I have is the stairs to the tearoom,if you have mobility problems you will struggle.Having said that it is well worth a visit.

“Lovley wee place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 September 2013

We visited the tearooms for a cup of coffee in the first instance but after seeing all the lovely cakes we had to give in and have one with our coffee, we had a Danish Pastry each - they were big! and yummy! on way out we had to pass the bakers shelves and bought even more to take home. Staff were very friendly and we will definitely return.

“How Tearooms should be...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2013

I visited these tearooms mid-morning with friends, on a cool, damp day. The greeting was however warm and friendly. The service was prompt and the food excellent. Try the toasted fruit loaf. The only problem is that the tearooms are above a bakery. Therefore getting out without succumbing to the massed ranks of cakes on display is difficult!

“Dissapointing”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 June 2013

I like the bakery and their products, so I was disappointed when we stopped in at the tea rooms in Chester. Being a bakery, I'd kind of expected the Pasty I ordered to have been baked, but it was soggily reheated in a microwave. Tasted OK, though.

The place is tired, too. Grubby carpets and disgusting aircon unit blowing dust about. No water in the gents to wash your hands, no working drier in the ladies.

There were plenty of staff though. Just a shame they were so occupied chatting to their friends! We had no problems, but I did see some other customers wondering if their order was going to be taken.

Won't be going back there in a hurry!
