Stayed overnight here with a friend on a girlie weekend recently. Never before have I stayed at a hotel where there was absolutely nothing I could find fault with. Everything was fabulous. The decor of the hotel, the rooms (we had a deluxe room with a sofa and coffee table downstairs and a spiral staircase leading up to the bedroom and bathroom with spectacular views out over the countryside), the spa and pool, the food, friendliness and helpfulness of staff, everything was top notch.

Perfect place for a meal, wedding or overnight stay. I cant recomend a nicer place. The staff are helpful. The entire place is immaculate despite being much bigger than it looks from outside. It even has a spa. Very relaxing and private.

Room Tip: Worth paying extra for the deluxe and feature rooms, however all the rooms are beautiful.

The building is very pretty and the location is lovely and very convenient as well. It is a bit of a wedding hotel. The reception staff were excellent. The bar is very nice and staff are friendly, best book a table though even if you just want a drink. Food is ok, chain pub food really, but overall a good atmosphere and friendly environment. The rooms are ok, clean and comfortable but nothing to write home about. We were woken up on a few occasions with wedding guests leaving the reception drunk, but nothing serious. The pool and sauna etc were very good and we spend many relaxing hours reading next to the pool. The spa treatments are very very expensive though.

Just arrived home from spending a short break at the Grosvenor. I have lost track of how many times we have driven past, thinking I would like to pop in for a bite to eat, let alone stay here, when my husband surprised me with a two night stay with the kids and dog - yep a surprisingly dog friendly hotel, one of a very few with charm and character!
We were located in the more modern side of the hotel, overlooking the charming landscaped gardens adjacent to the spa area. The room was very spacious for our family of five, plus the dog. The kids had pull out beds (which when collapsed made comfortable arm chairs) we had a mock two poster. The room was clean and in excellent decorative order, bathroom was stocked with Clarins toiletries, class!
We made a reservation in the bar area as my outlaws were joining us for dinner and the food was good quality at very reasonable prices. The service was excellent, and nothing too much trouble for the staff. The restaurant manager even found some left over Xmas crackers for the kids.
After a good nights rest, we enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the pub area, so we could bring the dog down and then went to the spa. My husband had booked me two Clarins treatments whilst he took the kids to the pool, absolutely divine. I came out a new woman (I wish, but almost!) the pool was a tad on the cool side, but was nice that there was family time and adults only time too.

I would highly recommend the Grosvenor at Pulford, well up to it's 4 star rating, and I would give the Spa, 5 stars.

In addition, the whole hotel was beautifully decorated with Christmas trees in every room, not your usual tat, but full on decorated tree's adding a bit more of a magical theme to the hotel.

Will definitely be back, thanks to all the team for making our stay so enjoyable.
