We visited Nelson's Bar for a meal today. We were a group of 20,a church celebration, we had not pre booked our meals. I can't thank the staff enough, nothing was too much trouble. We ordered a great variety of dishes and they were all served remarkably quickly and all at the same time. Staff even remembered what we were having. The cottage pie was scrumptious. Congratulations to all the staff for making our visit so enjoyable

I booked a weekend for our son and daughter in law as a special pre Christmas gift. Arranged it with Beth on booking desk, she was great at sorting my reservation out, big thumbs up to the management for her work. My son and daughter in law and grandchildren loved their stay, room was super, chockies in the room on arrival, pool area and food in the restaurant. Many thanks

We went to the new Palm Court for Afternoon Tea and were suitably impressed by the decor and ambience. The staff were very friendly if maybe a little distracted. This was meant to be a treat and we had a voucher for two of us as a gift. When it's a treat you expect it to be as faultless as possible but unfortunately there were a few niggles that left us feeling disappointed and a little let down. It took a little while to be served and we did notice some people who came in after us were served faster. We were served coffees before the prosecco and had to remind the server that we had ordered "sparkling" afternoon tea and he eventually came back to the table to pour the drinks. The coffee was cold but we drank it because it was a little obvious by then that we may have to wait a while for a hot cup. The food was of a good standard. We had asked for a certain mix of sandwiches but that didn't happen and again we didn't want to start sending anything back and having to wait. We ordered 3 fruit and one plain scone but when I bit into the plain scone it was full of fruit. This was replaced but I had to wait 5 minutes and when the replacement came it was half the size of the other scones. We then had to ask for our coffees to be refilled and my husband wanted milk with his and there was none on the bar (where the coffee is made?) So he had to wait again for somebody to go and get milk from the kitchen. By now we were feeling a bit down about the experience so we decided to ask for the bill and our patisseries to be boxed. Three members of staff took over ten minutes to do the bill and when it was presented it was wrong and had to be redone. I also had asked two members of staff for our cakes to be boxed and eventually had to go to a third member and tell him we needed to leave and still hadn't had the food boxed. He came back a few minutes later and put the cardboard sheets into boxes and then put them on the table for us to box the cakes ourselves!! I had thought they would at least take the food away and bring it back boxed. All of these niggles may be small by themselves but put them all together and it turned out to be a disappointing afternoon rather than a treat. Another annoyance was that a family allowed a toddler to run around screaming. Whilst this isn't the fault of the staff it sort of spoils it for other diners.

Mixed party of friends and I had a wonderful evening at the Grosvenor Pulford Christmas Party 2018.
The food, service, entertainment and venue were all spot-on.
The staff prior to, and on the evening were all very helpful and welcoming.
Whole party package; excellent value for money spent.
Some of our party stayed overnight; delicious (huge) club sandwiches for lunch on day of arrival! Clean, comfortable rooms, excellent choice of breakfast the following morning.
