Called at the York Roast for a quick bite. The baps were soft and the meat, both pork and turkey were plentiful and of good quality. The tea was one of the best we have tasted in paper cups. There were also roast potatoes and gravy, etc. available as extras. The inside dining area is quite small but there is a pavement area as well as a take-away service. I didn't consider the prices were at all bad and would certainly call again when in the city.

Ordered a pork sandwich without stuffing, served with a slice of crackling and bland watery apple sauce. A Ham & Stuffing Sandwich, with a side of roast potatoes. A coffee and a tea. The price £14.95 to be exact. The ham & stuffing was pretty full. Could taste the meat. The pork one on the other hand, straggly bits of pork. More like left overs, apple sauce? More like apple juice soaked into the bread roll. So soggy bread and a few pieces, not slices, of pork. Roast potato's were ok. Lacked seasoning. The kind of food you'd expect from a burger stand! Not to be repeated!

Tasteless white baps, no choice of brown given.
Turkey 2 thin slices which doesn’t fill the batch, stuffing ball placed in the middle of the bap they can’t even be bothered to slice over the turkey. Cranberry sauce 25p more! Total of £4.50 for something that had no taste at all.
