“Good, clean hotel just off the motorway. Comfortable stop for a weary motorist.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2010

We only stayed here for one night and didn't avail of the breakfast as we wanted a quick getaway for our onward journey.

The hotel was very convenient for the motorway, but is actually a few miles outside Chester at Garden City (not sure if this is in Wales or England). It was clean, functional and comfortable enough, probably on a par with a Ramada / Holiday Inn.

The staff were pleasant and friendly and had the sense to put us in a room two fire doors away from the 21st birthday celebrations taking place in the hotels Function room. Given that the hotel is right next to the motorway there was surprisingly little road noise.

The room we had was clean and reasonably well equipped (including a much needed fan as it was hot when we were there!) and we thought provide good value. We would certainly use it again if passing that way (depending on price!!).

good position and well placed for north wales and the chester area.
rooms clean and staff friendly.

i visited, in not a particulary very warm period, however the room we were put into was on the first floor facing the dual carriage way and must have been south facing
as it was airless! i didnt think too much about it until i tried to sleep and before doing so i opened the window...the noise was awful and continued all night long.
be aware ask for a room at the back of the hotel not overlooking the pool area or main road, atleast you will be able to have a window open without the awful din of road traffic

I’ve stayed at a number of Days Inn’s around the UK and always find them very comfortable – but I was so impressed with this hotel! When my boyfriend booked us a weekend in Chester staying at the Days Hotel I thought it’d be very much like all of the others, but it really is a cut above.
We felt the staff really went the extra mile for us and the hotel itself is really modern and clean.
What most impressed us though were the extra facilities that I’ve not seen in other Days, we had free use of the pool, Jacuzzi and gym facilities which made the whole stay a little more special.
North Wales and Chester is such a nice location - will stay again.

We recently held a hog roast and race night at the Days Hotel Chester North for 60 people. Having not held an event like this before, we were unsure of what to do etc. but Matt (the Manager of the hotel) was on hand at all times arranging everything from the hog roast to the race night company, even laying out all the raffle prizes before anyone arrived. Nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail was second to none.

It made a refreshing change to not have to worry about arranging things ourselves.

This is the first event we have held where we had no complaints from anyone who attended. Everyone was very complimentary in particular about the hog roast and also how much fun the race night was.

A big thank you to Matt and all the Staff!

We stayed for a couple of nights just to get away, not to far from home. The leisure club, while small was lovely and inviting, small quiet pool and jacuzzi, as we were the only ones in at the time was brilliant. Didn't use the gym but everywhere was clean and tidy and a real added extra for this small hotel. We ate at the Amantola restaurant which is close by on the Friday, great deal and food superb and ate at the hotel Saturday, again food was superb, homemade chips were to die for. All of the staff were faultless, couldn't do enough to help and looked like they enjoed being there which is a refreshing change. For value for money and a welcoming atmosphere, couldn't be faulted. Can't wait to stay again.

me and my friends decided to stay here as the photos looked lovly and the spa looked great ,perfect for 3 girls to come and relax n get away ,,what i would like to say is i can not fault the hotel for its food we had some lovly meals and the rooms were very comfatable ,,What realy let this hotel down for us ,was its spa,,,Which can only be described as DISAPOINTING AND UNBEARABLY HOT!!!!! We could not get out of the changing rooms fast enough which was like a sauna !,,onto the gym what a joke it was dated and again rediculously HOT!!,,we tryed the pool ,,sorry puddle of water and this was nice apart from having to get changed n tryiing to dry our hair after in the changing rooms which we all gave up on as it was a joke ,the heat in ther ment we all needed to have anoter shower in our rooms!!!,,I dnt think this place as heard of air conditioning,,,it realy lets ur hotel down and our visit would of been perfect if we hadnt had to deal with a 100 degree spa !!,(how can u possible enjoy that),,,!!would like to thank the reception staff to as they were very attentive and polite,,and bar staff,,katy amanda darcy, from worcester

we stayed here last March, my boyfriends work colleague was getting married and as i live quite close to the hotel, ive seen many changes over the last few years and this was one of them. i was looking forward to seeing what the place was like. the reception was nice to see english people on there, although the decor was beige and boring!! but service friendly.

id stayed previously and had a huge room so was very disappointed when i was faced with a shoe box. decorated all dark colours and everything cramed in. i wasnt happy. you could hear the noise from the by pass and herd everything all the other customers had to say!!

we never had breakfast but did experience the bar which was pricey.

the wedding reception was all squished into a tiny function room and was sooooo warm with the amount of people all cramned in. it was nicely decorated and we had a nibble at the food. people were all standing either in the corridor or outside smoking. as a none smoker i had to spend my time outside as it was so warm. there was no where to dance either.
