Have had 2 very enjoyable stays since last report and looking forward to our next stay shortly.Fragrant scents of the beautiful flowers in our room and on the dining table.Tuneful singing from the swallows who have returned again.Grass verges neatly cut on drive and Clares personal touches all add up to welcome us back and Nigels friendly greetings.Delicious healthy breakfasts to start the day.Clean new up to date tourist information leaflets to entice you to a variety of attractions and a bath or shower with luxurious towels to revive you after a pleasant day and a comfortable bed to end the day after a hot chocolate from the generous hospitality tray which even includes a sherry if you need your appetite stimulating before visiting a nearby establishment for your evening meal. All add up to a 5 stars. stay.

Room Tip: Gorgious view from the "Garden room

Just returned from a 4 night break at Cotton Farm. We were made very welcome and our room was very spacious and had everything we could have asked for. Breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend this B & B to anyone wishing to stay in the Chester area.

Room Tip: We had the double blue room. Garden room overlooking the back garden looked good although already bo...

This was our second visit to Cotton Farm & we had very high expectations having been very, very satisfied with everything on 4 May 2013. Once again, we were warmly welcomed by Clare & our room was delightful. We couldn't have been more comfortable; it was a true home from home experience. Thank you Clare; we will return since there is nowhere else that we know of in Chester that provides such comfort & value for money.

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautifully appointed & I won't tell you which is our personal favourite i...

We have frequently stayed at Cotton Farm and always look forward to returning. We love the rural surroundings and the history of the farmThe little touches such as fresh flowers welcoming in the vases and the really fresh milk brought to your room in a jug make all the difference. When we come back in the evening the curtains are drawn and the lamps are turned on with the kettle filled ready for use.A lovely end to the day.Clare is lovely and a really good cook. The food is beautifully presented and tasty. Each window has a different beautiful view which varies with the season. We find it very convenient for travelling to a variety of attractions and is easily accessed.

Room Tip: We love the garden room with it's views of the garden and fields or the Blue room with the swall...

Very Welcoming and homely, with a real feeling of 5* Grandeur, the food was brilliant and homely. Such unique features in the farm make it an attraction in its own right and the pleasant walks around the area are marvellous.

We have stayed at Cotton Farm twice a year now for the last five years. Claire, Nigel and the dogs are always so kind and welcoming.

Beautiful, large comfortable rooms which are always spotlessly clean. Out of all the bed and breakfasts that we have stayed in (and we do stay at many) this is undoubtedly the best that we have found in the country.

The farm is in a wonderful location, very peaceful, the perfect place to relax and enjoy Cheshire.

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent.

Cotton Farm is a wonderful farmhouse bed and breakfast close to Chester, with gorgeous large rooms, set in peaceful countryside down a quiet lane. We have a 4-star grading from Enjoy England. Cotton Farm is just 4 miles from Chester, and easily reached by car or taxi.Cotton Farm is something of a hideaway bed and breakfast - we are one of Alistair Sawday's special places to stay. We have three spacious bedrooms, all stylishly decorated and comfortably furnished. The gardens are in the classic English style, with resident hens and greater spotted woodpecker. The Guest Bedrooms are in the original part of the farmhouse, which is at one end of the building - making them very quiet and rather self-contained.The fields around the farm are full of wildlife, and there are riverside walks through wildflower meadows over ancient packhorse bridges. ... more   less
