Frog manor has a wonderful sign as you drive down the sweeping driveway 'welcome to the normal, leave the made world behind'. The house is covered as one would expect in frogs! Any shape and medium, they are everywhere. The bedrooms are all individual and are fitted with the very best mattresses and linen. I loved the huge bath we had and was touched at the play squinty frogs on the side to play with. The food in the dining room was excellent.

Complete dump. Dirty, tired and out dated. Wouldn't like to guess when a hoover was last used. Totally over priced. Breakfast consisted off cereal and toast. Was asked to order what cereal you wanted the day before. I have never chewed cornflakes before- dread to think how old they were. Can only have cooked breakfast at a weekend. Evening meal was overpriced. Only guest in the hotel- what a surprise!

In our quest to sample the best that Frogg Manor has to offer, we were back, this time to celebrate my other half's birthday in the Wellington Suite. We weren't disappointed, from the beautiful canopied bed in the centre of the huge room, a separate dressing room with champagne on ice and the luxury of a huge bath, plus a sepatate shower room to the secret doorway into the lounge via the bookcase! The food was delicious, as usual and then we had coffee and chocolate frogs by the roaring fire in the lounge. All in all, a luxurious, pampered stay. Vive le frog!!!

I think there are a few people giving frogg a bit of a hard time here, the food when I was there is good, the rooms when I was there very nice, but like many hotels currently need their clientele to return . Maybe it's such that frogg has to pull up his socks a bit , but that is about all i can say , apart from, where have the lovely glass slippers gone?

Room Tip: Worth a go

Eccentricity at its English best
Never will you find another hotel who's menu is in guineas, a proprietor as eccentric or rooms that are as British
An unusual place that you need to understand and you can only do that by staying

Myself and 6 others booked a table for a friends 50th. 3 of the party arrived on time whilst myself driving a car full had a puncture about 5 miles from the restaurant. 20 minutes later the chef Tom and a friend arrived to save us! They took us to the restaurant, Tom cooked all our meals then went back to my car, changed the tyre and drove it back for me.
That my friends is service!
Frogg Manor itself is a mad collection of eclectic surroundings and comfort. The food was fantastic and the owners John and Charlie are great.
I would recommend it to anyone and can't wait to go back.
Thank you all for a totally unforgettable evening.

Young couple booked in for a night in the treehouse - magical!

The place came highly recommended and our stay definitely went beyond our expectations!!

On arrival keep an open mind, enjoy the sounds of the 30s in the elegant nostalgic atmosphere and patiently await the warm hospitality to secretly unravel in John.

Thoughtful touches throughout our stay really made us feel especially welcome.

Give it a chance, hold judgement and trust you will see the genuine kindness of the eccentric owner.

Speaking from experience, having been a chef in many fine dining restaurants, I have found it very rare to come across something special. Dinner at the Frogg was full of delicious flavours - lovely to find a secret gem.

Completely unique.

Walking up the wooden steps on to the treehouse balcony and opening the doors, we discovered an enchanting, eclectic and luxurious space with beautiful furnishings and high spec bathroom. Delightful.

Relaxing and charming experience - looking forward to coming back!

Thank you John and Charlee (as well as the other guests during our stay) for an entertaining and truly memorable weekend :)
