Me and my family went to the frog for tea. We sat down and the lady came over to take our order she was very pleasant and very helpful as the kids couldn't decide we ordered drinks and meals and they came in about 30 mins. The kids had nuggets and chips and we had steak it was delicious we all had deserts aswell. We was about to leave and noticed that there was a quiz about to start and the pub was getting busy so we had another drink and checked it out it was really good and the free food they put out looked amazing but we had to go as the kids were getting tired defo coming back as its a good place.

We visited as it is under new management again. The staff seem pleasant and helpful which is why it gets a point.

The food was inedible. Burger seemed like it had been frozen and full of gristle, other meat was gristley and couldn't be chewed through. Mains were £8.50 each and I reckon they probably cost £2.50 to make all in. I don't mind paying £8.50 for a decent meal, but this was not the case. Save your money and go to the Architect for a decent burger.

I will be avoiding like the plague from now on.

We live locally and the place has recently been taken over by new management. Having never been out for Xmas lunch before and considering that we were flying to Bangkok on Boxing day we decided to take all the hassle out of Christmas day by booking lunch at the Frog. We booked and paid the £50:00 per person (for 7 people in total) around a month before without a hitch and on arrival were greeted by very pleasant staff, who couldn't do enough to help and showed us to our traditionally laid out table where a complimentary glass of bucks fizz awaited us.

Service was very good throughout and the standard of food was second to none from the starters through to the main with perfectly cooked turkey / steak / lamb and vegetarian option which my daughter had, all accompanied with Al dente vegetables that had great taste and texture. Puddings were all home made from the apple pie to the trifle and Christmas pudding... post lunch coffee / tea was complimented by a selection of Thorntons chocolates, mince pies and after dinner mints.

My only complaint would be that there was no vegetarian gravy... but they did pull out of the bag some red currant sauce which my daughter absolutely loved All in all a very pleasant way to spend a hassle free Xmas at a very reasonable price. Would we do it again at the Frog... Yes for sure !

We visited the Frogg again as we had such a great 1st visit. The two for £10 isn't on anymore. The prices sure have shot up, fish and chips for £14.95?? I had fajitas, hardly any meat and given two wraps. Was this a children's portion for £10.95?
We had really enjoyed our first visit and took family for the second visit. We felt embarrassed.
The service was good though.
We won't be returning.
