“Good value and fresh”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

Stumbled across this little cafe/ takeaway last Saturday and popped in .Really pleased we did. A warm welcome and prompt service. We decided to sit in as it was raining. The seating is upstairs so possible a problem for some.It has a nice relaxed atmosphere. The menu was varied I chose a beef and parmesan and it was delicious. Served with a salad and crisps. Prices are competitive and as it's all fresh it beats the supermarket/ mass produced stuff. Will certainly pop in when next in Chester.

“Lovely light lunch”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

Stopped in here during a day shopping in Chester. We were seen to promptly and staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection of sandwiches and salads. I had a toasted Brie and cranberry ciabatta and my partner had a tuna sandwich, both had generous amounts of filling and were delicious. Both sandwiches came with crips and a mini salad which were lovely. Cold tap water available to help yourself from jugs which was very welcome on a hot day.
Would definitely return again!

“Delicious Sandwiches”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

If you are looking for a light lunch in Chester then look no further than the Cheshire Sandwich Company. Freshly made and delicious sandwiches - a million miles away from the packaged variety in supermarkets and M & S. Lots of choice of fillings and lovely fresh bread. On a lovely sunny day take them down to the river and enjoy a leisurely lunch. If its raining or cold then eat them in the bright and well furnished cafe upstairs.

“Best 'butty' in Chester”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

I visit Dave and the guys as often as I can as when it comes to food there is no substitute for the best.

I find it remarkable that even when there is a queue out the door and full seating area upstairs, Dave manages to take the time to greet everyone with a warm smile and a host of pleasantries.

I think the friendly atmosphere he has created makes it hard to go anywhere else plus the food is always fresh and made to a high standard.

If you are looking for a light bite where the staff are courteous and the food is good (even the bread is delicious) then go and see Dave, he is certain to excedd your expectations.

“Buttylicious”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

Top sandwiches from these chaps, in a very pleasant and cosy setting

I can heartily recommend their Pastrami & Blue Cheshire - it felt like a little taste of New York. Good service and a very pleasant and chatty owner makes for a sandwich experience above the norm. Lovely spot for a shop as well - it's worth checking out just to wander down Godstall Lane for a moment
