Room was dated and in need of TLC. The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable to sleep on. The en-suite bathroom is separated from the bed by a folding door only about a foot from the bed (presumably as there is not enough room to have a door which swings open). The toilet is electric and noisy and the shower had no power whatsoever. The bedside lamp was held together with blu tac. The room was clean, just worn and dated with no parking available outside. The breakfast was below standard too.
The redeeming grace is that the owner, Joyce, is a lovely lady, very pleasant, but I wouldn't return here given all the other options available in Chester.

Stayed here one night in early April. About 15-20 mins walk from the train station, and quite easy to find.

From here, the university is 5-10 mins walk up the road, and the town is equally close with a direct route into the centre. Very convenient. There are pubs near-by, and a corner shop close by.

The owner (Joyce) was friendly, and you are free to come and go as you please.

I stayed in the twin room (at £23 for a single bed this was on of the best prices I found for B&B's in the area!) which was big and clean, with a small television, sink and wardrobe. Bathroom and toilet are shared between the two guest-rooms which isn't an issue.

Despite a very slight musty smell throughout the house, and the cramped dining room (only one table, so possible you have to share with other guests), the stay was very pleasant and the cooked breakfast was great.

Definitely a good place if you are looking for a cheap, convenient short-stay in Chester!

P.S. Wi-Fi is available, but you have to ask for the pass-key.
