Just arrived at 6pm with two young kids. Went to eat only to be told the hotel is full so both restaurants are fully booked and we'll have to go out and eat somewhere else! Why build a hotel that can't cater for it's guests if all the rooms are occupied??? NOT IMPRESSED!

Golf at Carden is worth adding to your list either as a guest or with a group of guys. If the mood is right treat the other half to a spa day & an evening meal
For the true golfer with time on thier hands invest in a golf day, dinner, bed & breakfast or spa treatment, see De Vere golf break.
Located between the the Cheshire plain & Welsh hills. Enjoy!
Best Regards GCD

Interesting menu choice and much better generally than most hotel chains and others in the same group.

We go once a year to Carden park, as a 'treat' with elderly inlaws. We do not want to disappoint them but it is the same routine... Evening meal is Just okay, the restaurant has no air conditioning, stuffy, warm (to make you buy drink) etc... Even the waitress/waiters agreed other guests always complained it was stuffy... Room was nice, again the windows open barely (good old british health and safety). We turned off radiators, at 4pm when we entered room, but it was so hot all night. Tv picture was poor with mostly sport channels. I sound ungrateful, but Im not, im just trying to tell you, location is nice of course, but prepare for lack of fresh air inside.

Place was quiet when we arrived but once we got into the swing of things we were on a role. If your looking for a little something to do on a boring day. Well worth a visit
