“True English Farmhouse Experience in Modern Accomodation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2013

From arrival we were made to feel very welcome. Only about 10 minutes from the centre of Chester but feels a world away in beautiful countryside, the B&B is a converted/rebuilt milking parlour on the side of a farm.

It has only opened earlier this year, and the rooms are quiet, well furnished, very clean and with attention to detail. We were greeted with bottles of water in our room, there was shampoo in the bathroom, flat screen TV, hairdryer etc. The bed was very comfortable and there was a dressing table and chairs for setting bags, getting ready etc.

Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Most of the food is sourced from the farm, including fresh eggs, seasonal fruit such as strawberries and raspberries and the English Breakfast sets you up all day.

Outside the accommodation there is plenty of secure parking, and Tanya was kind enough to offer to store our trailer whilst we went into Chester for the day.

If we are ever back in the Chester area we will without a doubt stay at Brook Farm again.

Room Tip: Go for the large deluxe room at the top, its only £10 more but well worth it with the high ceiling a...

We were attending a family event, and had decided to give the usual breakfast buffet scrum a wide berth this time. New opened and little known (but not for long I would suspect) is this superbly presented B&B located in a former milking parlour at Brook Farm. The farm is still very much active, and as such a true farmhouse feel comes as standard with this establishment. Everything has been carried out to a very high standard, and the overall effect is superb. Run as a family business, it is probably the best of its kind we have ever stayed at. Two utterly outstanding items were 1. The bed, which was incredibly comfortable and huge. And 2. The breakfast, which was freshly cooked, served with great charm by the owner, and cooked by another family member. Quite frankly at £65 per night, this offers superb value and anyone looking to stay anywhere in the vicinity of Chester should get booked in double quick.
