We stayed at this guest house for one night over a weekend with family including our young son. we do not recommend this guest house for families with small children as the family room is on the 3rd floor and access is limited via a very steep staircase which is not suitable for the elderly or young!
After spending the day out with family we returned to the room to settle down for a good night’s sleep, when at midnight we were rudely awoken by the out-dated alarm clock system at the side of the bed which was set to go off at this hour! As my partner and I tried to silence this contraption it startled our little one who subsequently fell out of bed and was then distressed for some time after.
Morning came and we went down for breakfast, which is only served between 8.30am-9.30am, again not ideal with a young family, the dining room was very clean and tidy, however the choice of cereal and fruit was very limited. My grill breakfast was then served and it featured a lovely black hair! On returning the breakfast too the kitchen, the owners were pleased to change the breakfast, however I was distressed to find both a dog and a bird in the kitchen!
Upon leaving we were charged the full amount for our stay with no one addressing the issues we had incurred, they were simply brushed under the carpet!
We do wish we had stayed in a nearby hotel which was a better price and would have offered a spacious room with more facilities and a hair free breakfast!
