My sister and I needed a very clean, comfortable, quiet B&B with first clas service this month, so we could stay in Chester for one night. The room we were given was spacious, warm and spolessly clean. All facilities that could be reasonably requested were available and were offered. We will be staying there again later this year.

Stayed for 2 nights with friends. We had a 1st floor double and our friends had a 2nd floor double. Rooms & ensuites were comfortable, homely and very clean. The breakfast was very nice indeed and our hosts were most charming and considerate. On a main road and 10 minutes stroll into Chester via the side streets. Would recommend this very comfortable accomodation.

Stayed with two children for three nights in a triple room and we loved the guesthouse, especially jimmy the parrot. It had possibly the cleanest room and en-suite i have encountered on many travels and i am notoriously picky. The room was at the very top of the house, not suitable for elderly or those with mobility difficulties but the children enjoyed the trek. Other rooms are available lower down. The room was large and spacious with very comfortable beds. Nice touches provided e.g magazines, flowers, tea and coffee making facility and biscuits. Only quibble was that there were three of us but only two biscuits were ever left on the tea tray. Soundproofing between rooms was excellent and great nights sleep were had by all. A public phone is also available on the second floor. The Guesthouse was only a 10 minute walk from Chester when the short cut was taken and was also close to a regular bus route. The house is located in a leafy suburb with beautiful well kept houses making the walk a joy for anyone interested in property or design. On the occasions we required a taxi , Helen organised one for us which was no more expensive than the bus for us all.
Met some lovely people in the nearby children's park and had great chats with the friendly taxi drivers who were from the area.
Breakfast was fine, cereals, fruit, usual full English with a choice of scrambled egg etc also. For those of us who are not tea drinkers, a jug of juice left in the dining room would be great, but Colin did check regularly for refills
The family also provided a sitting room for guests in which to watch t.v./chill etc Drinks were available with an honour system for paying in place. The chlidren loved to pop down there to talk to Jimmy, and hide outside the door to wait for him to respond. It became a daily highlight .I have no hesitation in recommending the Guesthouse and will most definitely be using it as a base for any future trips to Chester.

Stayed here for a 4 day break. This is a beautifully restored house with furniture in keeping, excellent housekeeping, everything in a bedroom and bathroom you could wish for. Everywhere is spotlessly clean.

Quality breakfast, all in all a most professionally run guest house but never lost the friendly touch. Would definitely go back and would absolutely recommend to friends.

This is the closest we have ever come to living and being treated like royalty! Very friendly hosts, including the bird in the lounge. Breakfast was very well presented with a big variety to choose from. Rooms were amazing, the best nights sleep we have had on our holiday.Should be rated 5 gold stars and value for money is unbeatable.

Just spent the weekend with my wife and have to say we had a great weekend. This guest house is immaculately clean and offers everything you would expect from this type of accomodation (except a pen and paper). Breakfast was very good and the room was spacious and well equipped, our bed was a little hard though. The only real negative for us was the location - it's a good 15 min walk into Chester which on a nice day would be lovely but just a little too far for it to be truely convienient. Taxi was only £4 each way into the city centre though. The house is decorated very well, but the style seemed dated so you'll either love it's charm or you won't. The parrot in the lounge added to the attraction. We stayed on the top floor and the attic stairs were very steep so small children might struggle a bit. We also got locked in our rooms when the key broke in the door, but the owner came to our rescue very quickly! Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Recommended.

Stayed here for one night which was booked as a surprise by my daughters. Seven women from the same family from 17-70 and I couldn't rate the place highly enough. The rooms were immaculate and very well thought out with everything to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic - tasty and beautifully presesnted. The owners are very friendly and helpful with a beautiful lounge for guests use (complete with parrot) and lovely garden.
Would definately recommend it to anyone and makes a welcome change from a corporate hotel.
