We stayed here after a full days trip at the Zoo. It was so easy to get to and no problems parking. The room was clean and aired, though it did get warm but it is Aug. There was a fan in the room if we needed it, it did get warm during the night. Bathroom light/fan was very noisy, sounded like plane taking off :) so we just left it off overnight. Hardly heard any noise from other visitors despite our room being next to reception. Attached restaurant was friendly and accommodated my husbands wheelchair with ease. No steps to worry about. Lovely Food and Good Prices.

Beds are like sleeping on the floor, so hard my back was in so much pain. Cleanliness of room was good, staff were friendly. Paying £124 for one night I found this pricey! No air con but electric fans are supplied in rooms. No wifi this is extra charges, well your allowed 30mins free (not long). Noisy at night, this was not the best nights sleep I've ever had! Would not return to this hotel.

Room Tip: Stay away from stairs, otherwise you hear doors open and closing all night

Really enjoyed my stay here. We stayed for three nights and you know what you are getting with a Premier Inn.

Hotel is approx 1 mile from Chester so was ideal. Was really close to a train station as well for travelling to Liverpool.
Would recommend this hotel.

Always visit chester zoo in summer holidays, booked this hotel because it was close to zoo.

Ideal for location, staff seemed friendly always said hello when you passed reception area.

THE ROOM - only good point, it was huge (2 adults, 2children). No air con but thought oh well we have two fans should be ok, oh how wrong were we. Had the worst night sleep ever, the heat was unbearable, kept waking up every 1-2 hours, toddler with us cried through most of night asking for drink all time. Went for breakfast in morning not worth the money if we had of realised there was a morrisons over the road we would of went there for it instead. Came back to our room afterwards, opened the door and the heat just hit you again, we quickly packed, handed in key and went to car and sat outside zoo an hour early just to cool down in car.

Safe to say we won't book here again, which is a shame because it does seem like a lovely friendly hotel.

Had a 2 night stay - room comfortable - standard but ok. In need of a bit of a spruce up - foisty smelling carpets in hallways although room was ok. Breakfast was a disaster so I'm not scoring the hotel on this as it is optional!! 1 member of staff, tables full of pots, no clean bowls, cutlery, cups, etc... order wrong for every table and obviously pre-cooked and kept almost warm.

Stayed at this hotel last night. There were 8 of us in two family rooms. Friendly staff who greeted you professionally. Room was fine but small for a family room where 4 needed to sleep. Restaurant was conveniently situated and evening meal was extremely good value .
The issue here was the heat in the rooms. Our friends room was very warm but tolerable . Our room was like a sauna and totally unbearable. Children were awake for over 3 hours in the night crying with the heat with our 4 year old looking like she was going to pass out. Two fans were provided but only circulated the warm air so were of no benefit ( one was blowing out dust when switched on all over the beds).
I had to get up to purchase water twice in the night for us all and after the cooling reception area was horrified to go back into the room as the heat hit you as soon as you opened the door. I seriously considered sleeping in the car at one point!
The night receptionist was very nice and explained works will be happening over the next year, but this is far too late for us.
This point has been noted on previous posts too.
Then to top it all off the radiators are always on in the restaurant too! After the heat if the room, having to have breakfast next to a radiator on full really put the cherry on the cake!!!!
Good staff, nice food, let down by the lack of facilities. We would not stay again until works had been done.
