Went to Premier Inn for a night between visits to Blue Planet and Chester Zoo. Good location for both, although google maps instructions were worse than useless.
Hotel was exactly what I had expected: rooms were an ok size, TV was large (Freeview), not too many 'extras' included. I received a good welcome, check in was quick and easy, and the rooms were both immaculately clean, and set up exactly as booked (an extra bed in one room, two extra beds in the other).
I booked the week before we went, so paid a fairly high price, and because we've got 3 children had to have 2 rooms, but otherwise I can't really fault the place, even though there was work going on there.
One thing to note - there's a Sainsbury's across the road, useful for snacks or proper milk, and they've got a cafe if you don't want to go next door for food.

I Stayed at this premier inn for one night over the Easter holidays with my husband and 8 year old daughter. Great location for visiting Chester and other local attractions (Chester zoo definitely worth a visit). The hotel was undergoing refurbishment during our stay. We were made aware of this before our arrival and that there may be some disruption. The disruption was minimal ( Alternative car parking was made available at the adjoining Brewers Fayre restaurant). Our family room had recently been renovated and was located at the rear of the hotel in a very quiet spot. No complaints whatsoever. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was spotless. The large flat screen TV with freeview was an added bonus. Will definitely be returning in he future.

The Reception Staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Although there was quite a big refurbishment in place we weren't disturbed at all.
However, we had booked 2 twin rooms and were surprised to find a large double and a small single. It wasn't really ideal for us. Why would you want such a disparuty in beds for friends? We did ask at Reception but supposedly that is hopw it is. The bed situation seemed more suited to a couple with a child.
The TV channels were fine. It was good to have a TV in a hotel room that was easy to use. There weren't really enough teabags or milk but that's just us.Having the Brewer's Fayre so close was a bonus and breakfst was well worth the cost.

Stayed here for one night, was not made aware of site works but the receptionist was brilliant moved us to a different room as the first one offered was beside the renovations and workmen started at 8am
The room given was a disabled room, upon entering OH and I realised the early start wouldn't be a problem and we felt awkward using a disabled room. So went back to receptionist and explained this to her, she had given our original room to another person but was happy to reallocate us again. Fantastic service!!!!!!!
Would defo recommend this hotel, cheap price and all the cleanliness and service always offered by Premier Inn.

One night in this hotel was comfortable and a happy experience. Despite ongoing major work in part of the location my partner and I both slept well in clean surroundings . The staff showed concern for our wellbeing and were most helpful. I received a phone call before my stay warning me of the work in progress and asking if there were any special needs we might have . On arrival we were greeted warmly and booked in with minimum fuss . All round a friendly informed staff in the hotel and restaurant . Highly recommended.

Stayed at this Premier Inn for 2 nights to visit Chester and the service we received was great.

Before we arrived we received an email from the hotel with details about the hotel, reception and restaurant. The hotel also called to make us aware that the hotel car park wasn't going to be open while we were there, but we could use the restaurant carpark instead. We felt these extra touches all contributed to a really friendly service as well as the warm welcome when we arrived.

We ate breakfast and dinner at the restaurant next door. Again, the service and food were fantastic.

The hotel is well located if you're driving to visit Chester. It's on the edge of town so you don't need to drive right into the city centre. There's a park and ride bus about 5 minute's walk from the hotel that takes you into town.

All in all, a great choice of hotel - would definitely recommend.
