“Fantastic Hotel - would highly recommend.”
Reviewed 14 October 2012

We have just arrived home from a lovely 2 days away in Chester.
We really cannot fault the hotel - spotlessly clean, lovely welcome and fantastic customer service - The staff go way beyond their job description.
Our little girl turned 2 whilst we were there. The staff were so kind as to pop a birthday card under our door for her, whilst at the neighbouring restaurant, Brewers Fayre, they brought her a little cake with a candle in which made her day.
Excellent hotel and fantastic customer service - Would recommend to all!

This really is a good place to stay, with only one factor depriving it of an excellent rating: the mattress does not have independent springs (so I was periodically woken up)! For one person it would be excellent, with superbly clean room, giant tv screen, and friendly staff.

I recommend going to Sainbury's for breakfast - much better value - and taking to the room some tea, coffee, milk, biscuits etc as what is provided is minimal.

Room Tip: Did not see a lift, so you may want to check if you have mobility difficulties

We stayed 3 nights here during a visit to relatives in North Wales. It is handily situated to the South of Chester and just off a major road. There is insufficient parking for all at the Inn but extra parking in front of the next door restaurant and this is just as easy (enter reception by the side door). We had a good reception at the Inn and our room was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. It was also very quiet. We eat one dinner and three breakfasts in the restaurant. The staff there were very friendly and helpful and the food of a good standard.
All in all the Inn provided everything that I look for in somewhere to stay for a few nights.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back which was very quiet but I doubt if those at the front experince much more...

Just got back from an overnight stay in Chester. This Premier Inn has got to be one of the best around, the staff on reception greet you like an old friend, very helpful and obliging. We only paid £19 for the room which was both spacious and immaculate, comfy bed, spotless bathroom, extra large TV and lots of tea and coffee. The Twirl of Hay beefeater next door was very good value and food was plentiful, my husband also like the fact that his second pint of larger came at half price!! We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but went across the road to Sainsburys where you can get a good cooked breakfast for a fraction of the price. One last tip,the car park gets very full by late evening so if your visiting Chester, park up and take the Park & Ride bus which is only about 5 mins walk from the hotel.

After strenuous week walking in Snowdonia, we decided to stop en route home to Bucks so that we could do a guided city walk in Chester. This Premier Inn is in a good location for this. The staff in Hotel and restaurant were all very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean, with everything we needed. The food in the attached Brewers Fayre restaurant was plentiful and adequate with good service. We liked the way the cooked breakfast was buffet style as well as the cold items.
