“Worth staying at”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

We stayed at the Premier Inn Chester Central South East hotel for a few days as a midweek break. It was what you'd expect from a Premier Inn- clean, well presented and in a pretty good location. The town centre is a short drive away from the hotel- not really walking distance, but buses and park and ride are available nearby as well as parking in the actual centre. This is free after 3pm on a couple of the car parks there so we managed to save some money, which is always good of course!

As we were staying with our baby daughter, a cot was provided in the room, however no blanket etc was provided with it - only a sheet over the mattress. Other than that though the room was okay. Parking is easier at this hotel than at the one in the centre, although we did find that having been out in the car during the day, spaces were very limited when we came back in an evening. This is probably due to it being next door to the pub, where you can have breakfast/other meals. We did have breakfast there once during our stay but didn't bother again after that. We found that as we went towards the end of the breakfast time slot, the food had obviously been sitting there for quite some time, so wasn't overly appetising! Overall I would recommend this hotel and would probably stay there again, if we were to return to Chester in the future.

Stayed here before. Not the biggest Premier Inn but do like the informal smaller sites anyway. No issues this, or last time. Car park gets full on a night though. Good wifi connection which has always been issue at one or two other sites.

Have just spent 2 nights here and cannot fault it. The room was spotless and the staff extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble and you felt as though they would quickly sort any problems if they had arose. Would definitely stay there again! The Brewers Fayre next door where we had the Meal Deal twice was excellent value for money. We booked for the evening meal the day we arrived and breakfast the following morning to see what it was like and were so pleased that we did the same again. The Park & Ride into Chester is less than 10 minutes walk away and costs £2 pp return (takes 10 minutes). Overall a very pleasant 2 days despite the rain!!!

Look on line for Premier Inn special rates, we paid £50 for the room for the 2 nights!

The thing I like about Premier Inn is that you know what you're going to get. We chose this Premier Inn instead of the central one because it was cheaper and free parking. It wasn't far at all to drive into Chester, and easy enough to get to city centre car parks. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ate into the adjoining restaurant (Brewers Fayre). Wasn't the best Brewers Fayre I've been to but it was nice enough and convenient. The hotel is jut across the road from Sainsburys so easy enough to stock up on supplies. I would definitely recommend choosing this Premier Inn over the central one if there's a big price difference as long as you don't mind taking the car in. The only downfall was that the room was too hot and our ground floor bedroom window opened out onto a the car park.

A reliable, consistent product at a price that is usually acceptable (bit high in this occasion) and I don't want anything more. Everything works, the rooms are clean and the staff are helpful without being obsequious.

Stayed here for my daughter and wife's birthday, I was a bit hesitate as I usually stay in min 4 star hotels but after the hilton asking £500 for 2 nights and the grovsner asking for £600 compared to there £150 what more can I say, chester zoo less than 5 min town 5 min outlets 15 min and was 2 min from marco pierre whites, room clean tidy and quite big for a budget hotel staff where brilliant, breakfast was norm, cannot ask for more if I got back to chester would stay there without question
