Didn't start off too well. Arrived a little before 2.30pm having checked in on-line (good idea this). Receptionist said our room might not be ready. Queried, as check in was advertised as 2pm; told it's "2pm onwards....we're very busy...some guests didn't check-out until 12 noon..." Check out time is advertised as up to 12 noon! However, fair's fair; a wait of no more than 15 ninutes and our room was ready.

Good, clean accomodation but only one bath towel and one hand towel for two adult guests. Eventually sorted. Spacious, airy and quiet room with windows closed (overlooking a main road). Fortunately weather was not too hot as no airconditioning.

Good buffet style breakfasts (plenty of choice) in Brewers Fayre adjacent to hotel.

Stayed two nights to visit elder son. Hotel is in a convenient location and has ample parking.

Despite the initial problems, would stay again.

Room Tip: You might want to choose a room to the rear of the hotel; especially in hot weather.

We recently had a wonderful 3 night stay here. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The meals in the on site restaurant were excellent with friendly welcoming staff. We will definitely be visiting here again!!!!!

Stayed for only one night but very impressed with our stay. We asked for a quiet room and that's what we got. The room was very clean and comfortable. I was really surprised that we weren't woken in the night and I slept all night which is a first for me as I am a light sleeper. I liked the fact that there was extra sound proofing on the windows too. The staff were really friendly and helpful and we will stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the second floor at the back of hotel

Excellent hotel, very clean and well run like all Premier Inns. Staff most helpful and knowledgable. Hotel well situated for proximity to Irish ferries and sight seeing in historic Chester. I would recommend this hotel and location any time.

Hotel clean, rooms fine but there is no air conditioning at this hotel which makes for a very uncomfortable night. Such a shame as otherwise good but there were 4 of us in a "family room" i.e. normal room with 2 extra beds squeezed in (literally there were the 4 of us in a row of beds wall to wall) on a not even hot August night and it was really uncomfortably hot. When I complained the next morning I was told it is clear on the web site there is no a/c, so that was that. So much for a good nights sleep guaranteed! Oh and it sounded like someone was jumping off
the bed onto the floor late into the night and from early the next morning in the room above us. So a poor nights sleep which is a shame as the rooms are otherwise clean, showers are great etc. if you want a/c (an acceptable temperature to sleep in) go elsewhere. We chose this hotel as most were booked due to the races and it was close to the zoo which we were visiting the next day. Note: they no longer provide discounted tickets for Chester Zoo.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the road and on the top floor to avoid noise from above
