“Rude management”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2012 via mobile

A party of 22 girls stayed here for 1 night .wen we arrived the manager was very rude to us, telling us we were very lucky to b staying there ,and any trouble we would be thrown out.Our room was nice but some of our party had to stay in bunkbeds and there was a leak with a bucket in the room.Breakfast was ok but had to wait for a table and wasnt given time to eat cereal before our breakfast shoved in front of us.we wernt the only party of girls there and they were treated the same.

Friendly, helpful staff. We found the Stafford to be great value for money with a central location. Clean, spacious accomodation with ensuite for £25 per night. When you asked the staff for anything they couldnt do enough for you. Good breakfast. Comfortable. They even have a bar here. Wi-Fi connectivity is free and cheap parking nearby (£5 from 08:00 - 18.00 then free outside hotel until 09:00). We where very satisfied but remember you do get what yoy pay for and this is a two star..Definately recommend. Stayed 23rd April - 28th April 2012

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the fire doors

The Hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Train station, excellent location, being just over 5 mins walk into town centre.
Me and a friend were having a budget weekend in Chester so chose this hotel as it looked cheap and cheerful.
It was a nice suprise to find our twin room spotlessly clean and very nice.
Beds were very comfortable.
Staff easygoing.
Bar area.
Have to take key out with you as no night reception staff.
Breakfast continental and plenty of it.
Would not hesitate to staying here again.

Room Tip: We asked for a twin room and got room 7 which was a single and a double bed on the ground floor,grea...

My husband and I have just returned from The Stafford this week. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Having read the reviews about some of the rooms, I decided to upgrade to the four poster room, for an extra £10 a night, we felt it was well worth it, as we were staying four nights, had it only been for one night, then we probably would not have bothered.
We were pleased with the room, the bed was comfy, room spacious and a lovely big wardrobe. TV worked fine too.
Breaksfasts were good, apart from the sausage, I am fussy, but my husband liked them.
All in all for the price we paid, we have no complaints and would gladly stay there again.

Hotel was in a great location close to the station and to bars and restaurants. Was nearly put off staying by other bad reviews and I'm so glad we didn't. Had a family room for 3 females lots of room very clean. I've stayed in worse chain hotels and a dearer rate. Hotel was busy during the night but it was St Patricks day so it was full and still got the personal touch from the owners very helpful and so friendly.

After coming of site after a 12 hour day then spending 4hours in the bridgwater arms round the back of the hotel it's not too bad, if you took your family there your wife would be unhappy.. Don't serve breakfast till 8 and as a contractor that starts at 7 ain't much good. Stay away is the best option....

stayed for one night, found the hotel to be very clean, good value, friendly and breakfast was fine, but due to the location of this hotel, it was very noisy outside, till about 4.00am. this was on a saturday night though.

Room Tip: get a room at the back if possible
