“Breakfast to get up for!”
Reviewed 21 July 2014 via mobile

Found the Artichoke down by the canal and wandered in for something to eat on a Saturday morning looking for a bacon butty or similar. Eventually ordered the breakfast and what came was probably the best I've had for a long long time; top top quality ingredients, cooked and presented to perfection. Served from 10am except Sundays, get yourself down there you will not be disappointed.

“Two visits”
Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

We visited here twice sitting outside. First time waitresses was very attentive and served us straight away with a smile and happy greeting. Second time we waited outside to be served again and despite the waitress (a different girl from the first time) serving two different sets of customers outside also, she ignored us. So after 15 minutes we left to take our custom elsewhere. Such a shame as the first experience of using this cafe was wonderful.

“Fantastic food & service!”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

We traveled by train to see this delightful city, and found the Artichoke while touring the canals. On holiday from America, the waitress was happy to describe several items on the menu for us. I had a delicious sandwich and salad, saving room for the chocolate tort! Cafe was charming, trendy, and had top-notch service.
