First time we stayed at this privately run hotel as we could not get in at the Travelodge where we usually stay.
Lovely place incredibly wide comfy bed, spacious room and superb breakfast. This will be our default hotel from now on when we visit Chester.
Only fault I could find was that the car park is long and narrow so some parking skills required but enough space for everyone!

Room Tip: The groom room is nice but next time we will try the balcony room as it has a bath !

I booked the Mickle Trafford Manor on word of mouth from one of my work collegues.as it was my partners Birthday we usually go the Lake District but i wanted to find somewhere different. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome by John and he was very helpful in advising us of places to go.We were really happy with our room it was very spacious with the original featrures from the manor, the room was open planned with a fantastic bathroom.and a bath you just wanted to relax in. the Garden was stunning and the Manor house was its old original features which is something we loved about it. Breakfast was lovely and we were made to feel very welcomed by Sam. We took a trip into Chester town in the afternoon which cost six pounds, even the taxi drivers which we used Kings cabs were very friendly. In the evening we went to Artichokes Bistro which was amazing the food and portions were to die for the atmosphere was very relaxed highly recommend if your in chester to eat there. We were certainly stay at the Mickle Trafford again and visit Artichokes.

Room Tip: You could not go wrong with any of the rooms

Fab place to stay. My husband and I had never stayed in a Bed and Breakfast before and didn't know what to expect. Sam was so easygoing she immediately made us feel at home, welcomed by a real fire and home made lemon cake, we relaxed straight away! Fabulous place, quiet rooms. We will be back!

We've visited The Manor several times a year for over 11 years now, and in that time have stayed in every room in the house. All of them are individually and beautifully decorated, with some of the largest beds we've ever had the pleasure of sleeping in! Sam and her dad John always make us feel completely at home, and do everything they can to ensure we have a fantastic stay - from the availability of hot tub and sauna, the yummy cooked breakfasts, to the fresh baked cakes and afternoon scones made by Sammie's daughters! Chester town and North Wales are within easy reach, and Sam and John are always ready to offer advice and ideas of any local attractions worthy of a visit. Top notch place to stay, wouldn't go anywhere else, can't wait for our next visit!

Room Tip: All rooms are fab!

We have just returned from an Easter weekend break, a surprise for my wife. Booked direct with Sam at the Manor, she was so helpful and advised me of a restuarant nearby which was ideal.Back to the Manor, what a gem of a place, like having your own 16th century listed home. The reception from Sam was exceptional, the cottage bedroom was superb with its own staircase and balcony. We were made to feel at home and to enjoy the rest of the Manor house with its fine rooms. The roaring fire in reception was a great welcome from the extreme cold outside, and the whole hotel was heated to perfection. The breakfasts were top notch and the honesty bar a great idea. We can only heap praise on this Hotel with Sam and her father and would recommend this experience to every discerning traveller. A repeat visit is guaranteed by us

Room Tip: all rooms on inspection are excellent, depends if you desire a balcony overlooking the rear garden.

We went to The Mickle Trafford Manor for our 3rd Wedding Anniversary. On arrival we thought the building was beautiful and surrounded in historical facts (it was in the Domesday book). Your enter straight into the lounge and a very welcoming fire and comfortable seats. It was appreciated as it was a cold day and the fire was very warming. We were shown to our room. We stayed in The Master Bedroom. The bed was very large and comfortable and the bathroom was amazing! The double ended bath looked over the gardens giving you a lovely view whilst remaining private from other residents. The staff were very friendly and welcoming especially at breakfast time. Breakfast was cooked to order and was fresh. The home-made bread that was served with breakfast was very fresh and added to the experience. I will be coming back here again and have already recommended my family to come and stay.
