I went as party of rugby tour group and from start to finish the hotel were brilliant. Lovely rooms. Free car park. Lovely free breakfast full english and continental. Staff all friendly. They also have a bar that serves food and the food was really nice

Ideally placed, this is truly a short walk from the city centre, but just far away enough to be quiet and not bustling.
Very helpful, nice welcoming staff
Breakfast is superb
Free Car Park in the grounds
Rooms are nice, clean, spacious and very good for the price
If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Chester for a weekend visit, this is ideal. I would recommend that there is no need to look elsewhere.
Also, nearby to local convenience shops if anything needed

With a spacious beer garden that catches the afternoon sun, a good choice of real local ales and quality lagers, good quality comfort food and friendly staff it's a great place to be. Indeed the only place in Hoole. The only other beer garden is shaded in the evening.

A very central hotel, easy to find. Nice clean rooms with comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast was ok, nothing special. We did not have an evening meal. Popular place with the locals as open to non residents. Downside was entry to hotel was through the bar from front or through back door to car park. Both ways you had to make your way through smokers sitting outside and people drinking in the bar. Not ideal and something that detracted from the experience for me. Staff were pleasant and helpful although reception was not manned and we had to find a member of bar staff to check in. We would stay again at a push but would explore our options before booking.

Room Tip: Room five was over car park but not directly over kitchen. Comfortable with nice ensuite.

Stayed at Bawn Lodge, for one night
good reasonably priced hotel, a short taxi ride away from centre.
rooms have been recently refurbished to a high standard, and were very clean.
the bar downstairs had a good atmosphere and drinks were reasonable,
breakfast was cooked to order, portions a little small and service was slow, only one staff member on,
this was the only, negative otherwise good base for Chester.

One night stay.
Nice pub downstairs.
Parking was good at rear of the building.
Room was fine, basic but clean and tidy.
Breakfast was okay the next morning but could maybe offer two sausages and bacon as not everybody likes cornflakes etc.
Id stay again so a tick from me.
